For the record... most people get that, if you put a number or "chapter #" after a story, then it's probably got another chapter or so... guys, you really don't need to add, as a preface, that chapter 2 is... well, chapter two of a story. it's IN the title already. smile just a thought - what you end up with is, someone curious to see the first few lines of your story and getting an explanation of mundane stuff - which makes it more likely they'll check out other stories that they can actually get a feel for by reading the first few lines. this has been yet another Sprite PSA.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Yep. There's nothing like a story opening with, "This is Chapter (fill in the blank) of my latest epic. It won't seem quite so pointless and muddled if you stop now, hunt up the previous chapters, read them, and then come back here," to get me all fired up and eager to check it out.

Makes sense to me. It's deciding where to break into chapters that gets me at times.
Knowing where or how to best insert a chapter break is an art form all on its own. The usual suspects are at a scene or POV shift. The old 'page turner' trick often used in mystery/adventure/action type tales is after the reader learns something big is about to happen but just before it occurs.

i like breaking mine up in the middle of a sex scene where he's about to spurt several gallons of cum into her... and then take about 3 months to write the conclusion.

Well, yeah, that would work, too. ;)

What if I want to call the fourth chapter of my story "Chapter 2" and say, the eleventh chapter of my story "Chapter 7.3?"...would I need an explanation then? Or, is that something that the mods here just normally take care of here on Lush...

Let me know, I have a great interracial, gang bang, , multi-gallon cum story I want to submit drop by drop...and I thought it might add to the subtle complexity of the story if I mixed up the order of the chapters...

Get back to me on this one...will ya?...
