hi all

When i write my stories, i often sit naked and get totally turned on writing and visualizing the story unfolding in front of my "Inner" eyes.

As you will see from my profile i normally use "posters" from another website as my inspiration for the characters, and the stories come from fantasies i have had in my mind built up over the years so all are entirely fictional.

The stories themsleves may take a number of attempts to write in full as i deal with my "arousals".

How many other authors use this method of writing, or if not is there any technique you finds suits you better?

I tend to try not to start writing my stories when aroused, although this state usually doesn't last too long. I usually base my characters loosely off of someone I know, although I make sure to change enough things to make them entirely fictional creations.

Is it like getting horny when you look at yourself in the mirror?

Yeah. how can you not write a story without getting horny? I don't get naked or anything like that but after I finish writing I usually have to seek out some release.

Honestly, it looks like I'm the weird one xD I've never had the need for a climax after I was done with any of my stories. I don't do it while I write either. I do base my characters loosely around someone, whether it be a personality or physical, but I never choose people that distract me. Or I know nothing about.

I just get focused when I write

but i do read a few of my stories when I'm touching myself to get over the edge

My rule is... if I'm not turned on by own story, then nobody else is going to be either. I'm always extremely aroused while writing and will stop now and then to enjoy, reflect and play...

Sometimes taking that kind of break will take the fantasy further and inspire more details! Of course, that might be why it takes me so long to write a story through to the end!

My characters are always based on people I know from my own life, either psychologically or physically (or sometimes both). I feel like it helps create more authenticity. So far, my main female protagonist has always been based on myself. I like to put myself into my fantasies, and then add characters and manipulate them like puppets on an erotic stage! It's part of the fun of writing, in my opinion... that little thrill of control. It definitely adds to my own arousal... and hopefully for my readers as well.

I always have fun and thoroughly enjoy writing my stories, but when I go back and read what I've wrote, I don't get turned on. Something about seeing my thoughts and fantasies play out just doesn't get to me. Maybe it's because it's my words?

I like to base my characters off people I know. I use their personas, but change their name so it's not evident who they are. My next story is really going to show who I am.. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks..

I get turned on after I write the story, but not as I'm writing. I put all my feelings into my main female character. The male character write about is a real person. I changed his name in the stories, but not his age or ethnicity. If the world were perfect, my sexual life with him would be exactly as I write about it. I am incredibly smitten and focused on him. This place allows me a mental and physical release of those fantasies.

What your saying is quite different from what anticipated, I thought you meant you get turned on after you have finished writing the story. But what your saying is that you get turned on during!

I don't write naked - I like to write fully clothes it keep me feeling hotter haha If I wrote naked I would enjoy writing hee hee.

I do get turned on when I re-read my only two stories that I've wrote, but I do still prefere to read other peopples stories much, much more!

To me, I write the sex part to turn myself on, and hope that my woman and friends will be as well.

I still get misty-eyed when I read some of my poetry, too, because it came from the heart.

You're right, I should have been more specific. I get turned on while writing the story, but don't um, "release" until after the story is written.

Sorry if that was TMI.

I do get aroused when I am about to write a story, because naturally I am thinking of sex... but I am concentrating too much on the plot to get turned on during, and too critical of my own work to be turned on after.

I write for myself with the idea that if I am aroused and enjoy the story it should do the same for others. I can write non stop if the hormones are working. I only have 3 stories and finished a fourth today (taking a few minuter break now). A couple are built on experiences but then go further into fantasy e.g. my visits to a few massage parlors went into fantasy wife decides she'd like to work there a night. What I have discovered is that I only like to chat with females but my stories come out appealing to men more. It fits with my wife's statement that it is extremely rare that a man can write a good romance story. We guys are to into the act and not so much getting there with all the nuances. Manny

I write for my husband. He is my biggest fan, my toughest critic, and my editor. If the story makes him hot and horny then I have no reason to doubt anyone reading it should get some enjoyment from my stories as well. My next story coming out I did go beyond my comfort zone. While writing it at work on my black berry I found myself getting very turned on. I was a very willing participant in my own story. I guess that is what erotica writing is all about. We learn what makes us tick as well.

My stories often come from things I imagine when I masturbate, which I think is only fair. I mean, would you want to listen to an artist's CD if they didn't enjoy it? At the end of the day what we do is an art, and it doesn't seem right to produce a piece of art you don't think is beautiful or you don't find enjoyable.

I started writing erotica years ago for the express purpose of enhancing my experience of masturbation. And so, YES, my own writing does turn me on a great deal. (Or I wouldn't be writing it.) However, I rarely feel the need to relieve myself while writing. Typically, I end a writing session because I'm tired, hungry, or the phone rings. Later, perhaps in the shower or prior to taking a nap, I may replay my story in my mind and give myself a hand. LOL

I love to write as it is a way of expressing and sharing my sexual desires with others. I tend to decide on a main theme and the characters over a period of time, usually as a subject of masturbation fantasies - like most people here if it doesn't turn me on then it is unlikely to turn many otherson either. My stories tend to be written over time, I am not that fast a typist nor do I have that much time to myself to reel them of in one go. As for characters, some are entirely fictional, most are a melange of people I see when carrying out my favourite hobby of sitting at a street cafe and people watching, but at least one (other than me) is a real person. Dressed or naked? I generally wear somethig, I particularly love to write when I am dressed en-femme.

Hell yea I get turned on by reading my own stories. I try to concentrate my hardest when writing cause if I stop I lose my focus and just lose my edge.

When I'm done and I can relax and enjoy the art I've written.

I started writing my stories as a way to work out issues I had and then I will admit I got turned on by them, as well.

I'm new to writing, but I have quite a few stories in draft. If I'm not turned on by a story, there's no way I'm gonna post it.

if i'm not, there's something seriously wrong with it, and it's not going to get posted here until i am! smile

I've only written the one story so far, but in my mind I was there and of course I was very aroused. Oddly enough though, re-reading the story afterwards was not as erotic so I was very grateful for all the positive feedback. It's nice to know you're doing something right, and I suspect very difficult to judge it for yourself.

I don't think anybody would write stories on a desert island; thats the whole purpose of this site to give the readers pleasure. Why half the pleasure of sex is giving pleasure to your partner. I would say most Lush Stories are read by lone readers for sexual reasons and most written stories are written by lone writers for sexual reasons. Maybe we should try saying to our partner lets not have a romp tonight read me a Lush Story instead.

If you don't get turned on when you are writing your story, then I don't think anyone else will. It's always nice to reread your story...and have a little play!

I have only written one story so far but I have to admit I did get turned on while writing it. I actually wrote what turned me on rather than thinking about the public readers. I don't know if that is a good method or not. I don't get as turned on rereading it but it has been fun thinking about chapter 2.

Oh hell yes!!! Most of what I write about is fantasy ...and isn't that what arouses one? The true stories are even better; recollecting past experiences, sometimes embellishing on them for the reader. But more often than not, I am aroused as I write ...fuck me, I earned it, didn't I? - LOL

I do get a tingle or two reading my own work at times. Writing about 2 men having sex definitely gets me off.

When I gp back and read, I am often aroused by the images that play back in my mind. ;)

I find that while I'm writing stories I am in "work-mode" and therefore do not get actively turned on. I do, however, get turned on by the ideas that are in my stories.

I place a photograph of the girl I am writing about, or a cutting of a female model or similar, on the shelf before me. Staring at this female in the eyes, whoever she is, for a few minutes now and again, urges me onward. I cannot write about sex unless excited. I am usually naked when writing. This means that I am in a state of permanent sexual excitement when writing, but can control it. A sort of Writer's Tantra.

I avoid sexual release more than once a week (at my age) since this saps mental energy and concludes authorship for the day.

When I read through my material in unexcited mode I often think to myself "Oh Gawd, this is too strong" but I have never had a complaint yet.

I was brought up in a prudish family and only now, in the second half of my life, have I broken free, see sex for what it is and have reverted to the Goddesses of sex and fertility for comfort, protection amd justification.
