Are you talking about a prostitute, or those people who act as your companion for social functions/dinner?
I did briefly consider the former, but threw the idea out almost immediately.
For the latter, if I was required to have a partner, or couldn't go alone for fear of being on my own, I wouldn't go at all. That's how it is. When friends get married (big weddings, bad for panic attacks), they make a point of telling me who I might know, or better yet, giving me photography duty, so I don't need to worry so much about finding a corner to hide in.
