For professional team sports:
Atlanta Braves - baseball
Atlanta Falcons - football
Atlanta Hawks - basketball
Atlanta United - soccer
Atlanta Gladiators - hockey (but they're only minor league as both Atlanta major league hockey teams moved to other cities. If we get another NHL team, l'll probably get season tickets through my company.)
college sports:
Any sports team of The University of Georgia
The Georgia Bulldogs football team is my biggest sports love, actually lifelong obsession.
I also like to watch the summer & winter Olympics, and enjoy boxing and MMA. (MMA is more entertaining.)
PS. My alma mater, UGA, just won the men's outdoor track & field national championship.
I've used the tint reader for dyslexia but the results are no big deal for me and the tint sheets for reading print on paper are a pain to deal with. I'd still rather read on paper, so I prefer printed books.
When reading a novel l'd rather have a paperback because l can be rather rough on them. I feel guilty if l mess up a hardback. I do like to collect hardbacks, and between my wife and l, we have a pretty large library on the shelves.
I also love to collect great coffee table books. So l have way more coffee table books than we can put out at any one time. I have coffee table books on classic cars, classic propeller planes, swords, antique guns, sailing ships, motorcycles, all kinds of history, pirates, Vikings, Samurai, knights, sports, etc.
If my wife and l are taking a long drive on vacation we always check out audio books from the library.
Happy Birthday, Tonya! And howdy to Rumpy and the Honky Tonkers!
Let's all have a round of ice cold draft beers with Tequila chasers... on me.
I like to smoke a cigar and drink a Scotch, while my wife cuddles up to me and shares my cigar while she has a chilled white wine. Then... round 2, and maybe more.
I'm a honky tonk kind of guy, so l like the new name, Rumpy. We could use an old fashioned juke box. Put some Alan Jackson boot scootin' tunes on.
I'd like to celebrate the new name of Rumpy's with a toast to all the hony tonkers here. Cheers!
Give me an ice cold Terrapin Pale Ale and several shots of Jack Daniels.
Spaghetti and meatballs, cornbread, apple cobbler, and white wine.
Stoppin' by Rumpy's for a drink or several. How is everyone?
I'll have an ice cold draft beer and a Long Island Tea, and probably a few more.
Blade Runner 2049. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I really need to get to the theater to see some of these when they come out. But damn, it's hard to find time and so inconvenient, though I love the theater experience.
If I think it'll be a high-quality movie, I do my best to mimic the theater experience at home. With the big flat screen, you can make it dark, have a great sound system, make some popcorn, but still hit pause to go to the bathroom and not miss anything like at the theater. So maybe this works out just fine.
Biscuits and gravy, bacon, and coffee.
I caught the first Patrick Melrose episode but have been so busy l lost track then caught part of another. I really want to see if I can go find a way to record the entire series. It looks very intriguing.
My wife and I recently pay-per-viewed Hostiles, The Post, and 12 Strong. They were entertaining and well done.
Chinese chicken and broccoli with fried rice, wonton soup, an egg roll and hot tea.
Is there anything worse than a mother cock blocker?
The old Batman movie with Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger, and Jack Nicholson. Like all Batmans, it is hokie and campy, but a lot more fun than all of the newer ones. I watch and enjoy those but to me the old one is the best.
I liked Jack Nicholson as the Joker better than Heath Ledger.
I love Seinfeld. Grew up with it, as my parents watched it religiously. My favorite character is George Costanza, probably the shallowest of the shallow, right? I can't come up with a single favorite episode.
I did loved it when Elaine snatches the toupee off George's head and tosses out the window of Jerry's apartment. The shrinkage episode was great.
No doubt, Seinfeld is one of the greatest TV shows of all time.
Wayne Knight, who played Newman, is a fellow alumnus of The University of Georgia.
I grilled hamburgers under the covered portion of the patio cause it rained most of the day. We had homemade slaw for the burgers. Chips and ice cold beer.
Three of my four grandparents lost a sibling fighting in WWII. A big salute to those who paid the price of their life for our freedoms. We can honor their ultimate sacrifice by doing what we can to protect and fight for freedom, liberty, and civil rights for all.
I really like Damon's suggestion of The Plantaganets, and Seeker's suggestion of The Aeneid.
The Plantaganets offer a long line of intriguing characters that encompass treachery, the Crusades, Conquering Wales, the Scottish Revolution, murder, sex, betrayal, and a helluva lot of battles, and like Damon mentioned, The Hundred Years War with France including characters like Joan of Arc.
The Plantaganents could easily be a multi-season miniseries, giving the producers the chance to make a great profit. But hey, l'm a capitalist.
The Aeneid, while in reality it's fiction, is a great epic story. But I'd love to see it sold in a way that doesn't make you think Romans all spoke in aristocratic modern English accents. The Aeneid would make an outstanding miniseries.
Real men don't need to send dick pics. Women ask to see their dick in person.
