I would say it depends on the person, it's different for everyone. When I got my nipples pierced it wasn't painful, just felt like a quick poke. After, they are relatively sore, but the soreness doesn't last for too long. Also, I did notice my nipples were really sensitive after. Never had my lips pierced, so not sure about that one.
