Obviously the mind control category meets Lush standards. If it didn't, it wouldn't be a category. Whether a mind control story fits Lush standards is a matter for the story verifiers to decide. Lush is changing. We are broadening our horizons and doing story types that we haven't done before. Mind control is just one of our new categories. If you think reading stories about mind control will upset you, don't read them. The same holds true of any of our categories. If Love Stories upset you, don't read them. Our moderators are capable of telling when a story breaches Lush rules. We return stories with elements of non-consent all the time. We will do the same when mind control crosses the line of consent.

We have an obligation to all our members to provide stories that interest and excite them. All of our members don't like the same type of story, so we have numerous categories for them to choose from. If any category offends you, by all means, don't read it. Readers who read mind control stories know that the stories contain elements of mind control Mind control means control of another person's mind. If the participant consents to having his or her mind controlled, there is no issue of non-consent. If there is an issue with non-consent, the story will be returned.

I agree with you fully Ruthie. We everyday members do not decide what site policy will be. When Nicola decides to list a new category then OUR choice is to stay or leave.

Throw a few more names into the mix:

Doug Martsch of Built To Spill - Jam eternal
Neil Young - because that dude has never given a single fuck
John Lee Hooker - the biggest bad-ass of the blues, and he had a unique guitar style that got picked up by a lot of rockers
Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar - Pretty much unknown outside of Canada, but if you like blues-rock you should check them out.
Nigel Pulsford and Gavin Rossdale of Bush - They got written off as a Nirvana rip-off, but I hear Thelonious Monk in their earlier albums.

A man who knows his git-tar!!

How about we add:

John Williams
Julian Bream
Les Paul?
Chet Atkins
Ana Vidovic---incredible talent
Raul Nery
Carlos Montoya
Jesse Cook
So many others!
I love both-----when she is the way she is, for ME. She knows how she looks and feels best.
I am so inclined to read or write that I can't even eat a bowl of cereal without something to read while I do it. Or, if I see a blank pad of paper. I have to make lists of things, or write out my thoughts on something.
I must say it is in one of three places:
1) in the presence of someone who loves me.
2) at the get togethers like Thanksgiving dinner just watching the love go around the room.
3) Having coffee with a good friend and catching up, discussing things important to us, or just being with them.
I saw so many friends and even a family member so addicted to alcohol and other drugs, that it f----d up their lives. In 1978 I walked a friend into a detox center, and never looked back. It is almost a "religion" with me. However, I do not sit in judgement of those who do drink. That's for gods and I am far from that!!

Although I write stories primarily for myself, the story "Immortal Desires" is the one I'm most proud of.

If after reading this you decide to take a look, let me know what you think.

Andrea, I have read your story and found it very exciting. It is also well informed. I mean you know something thing Vampires which always gets my attention. The plot, once he knows there ate two Vampires of a type in Amsterdam thickens.
You have brought together life/death and eros beautifully. Veiling is very subtle. Everyone has a blind spot and so are vulnerable. Having beautiful endowments always helps. ;)
I think it is a great start into that genre of writing, that's for sure.

Quote by principessa
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Written by John McCrae, a Canadian soldier and doctor in the wake of WW I. I believe that this is the origin of the poppy we wear in the weeks preceding November 11. The poppies are then placed on local war memorials, blanketing them in red.

J......, I live in MA, and we all had to memorize and discuss this poem here as children. Every year it seems, we all try to reassemble the words together. When I first memorized it, there were still lots of people from the Great War alive, here, in your beloved Canada, and in Europe. They could help us then with the words. Now we who have used this poem as a remembrance are fading into the past. I am proud to say that members of my family have fought in every major war my country has engaged in since the War for Independence. The last three lines in the poem hit me hard now and make me fearful for our future as our ancestors did. But we who love our own families, and what we have done, will never give up!
Maggie Gyllenhall.......sexy every way it comes, and pretty damned gorgeous. That voice......you know what I mean.

when you have a connection with someone .... it is an extension of just a chat.

but both parties have to be on the same wavelength and really good at expressing descriptions (and writing/typing) to keep the pace up.

This is the way it is for me too.
Patricia JANEČKOVÁ: "Meine Lippen" (Franz Lehár - Giuditta) (The song about this gorgeous young woman who sings about how hot her lips kiss, among other things.
Kazuko Matsuo - AGAIN.....one of the greatest all time Japanese torch singers.
