Wrote this one up for a Halloween event over on Facebook. sponsored by NY author and poet Fran Ayers...

All Hallow's Eve

It’s All Hallow’s Eve and there’s little sound,
Except for a few goblins dancing around,
An old witch creates another evil spell,
Summoning demons from down in Hell.

The old hag stirs her boiling stew,
Adds eye of a newt, and another shrew,
The cauldron bubbles over the roaring fire,
The smoke rising up, higher and higher.

A black cat watches and suddenly screams,
It’s enough to haunt anyone’s dreams,
The old woman smiles an evil grin,
Her wart covered face personifies sin.

Looking around the spooky room,
Perched in the corner is a wooden broom,
Later she’ll get on it, and will take flight,
As she rides off on All Hallow’s Night.

Somewhere another victim will await,
Helpless to control their coming fate,
Another body that will soon be cold,
Another life that will never grow old.

Just another night’s work for an evil crone,
It’s what you do when you’re bad to the bone,
For another year, she will take leave,
And be back again next All Hallow’s Eve.

11-01-14.

This is interesting, for a number of reason...not the least of which is that the book is still available for free on Wattpad, in spite of Paramount Pictures acquiring the screen rights and what not...not the usual move from a publisher, me thinks...not to mention it's erotic fan-fiction...

You may have heard that hit song on the radio "It's All About The Bass"...

You may not have heard The Nashville Library's neat version here...yes, it's All About The Books my Lush friends...no trouble...

Probably just eat something quick tonight...creamed possum is always tasty...

Hopefully they'll be a liquor store nearby just in case we run out...

Of course I have know other men of my kind, and it troubles me to say that I have know none as utterly fascinating as Lucius Ammaticus.

I believe that should be "known" instead of "know"...

(This IS actually the Literary Equivalent of strumming idly upon a guitar as one waits for inspiration... Fun, but not work, in fairness...)

I agree with you about needing inspiration to write, and fortunately for me there are other things I can if I don't feel inspired...actually, I didn't really think what you wrote was that bad...but, it was really a few short paragraphs out of context, and I really couldn't tell without reading the whole thing...which reminds me, I don't think I've ever read one of your stories...I'll have to remember to give it a shot one day...
The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is basically a dictionary of made up words designed to "fill a hole in the English language" as it says...here's the link...and I found reading the various selections, with the videos tossed in, to be rather thought inspiring...and I would tend to think my fellow writers will too...

Well...it looks like the thieving bastards lied to me...came across this last night, while doing a search for my 9/11 poem...

Assena Calender - September 2014
http://assenna.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Aster_2014-Cal.-main-cover.pdf

My next step is to contact the Attorney General's office in Canada, since that's where the parties responsible are located...and I believe it could be a criminal matter as well...

On a more happy note, while searching...I did find some more nice stuff...like my poem being read at a 9/11 ceremony sponsored by New York state Sen. Marty Golden, so that was rather nice, especially since it is in NYC...note the correction at the bottom...they originally had me as "Frank Jankowski"...but after a comment, tweet, message to the site, and a phone call...they finally fixed that...

Hundreds gather on 69th St. pier to remember 9/11 victims

It was read at a junior college in West Texas...

It got Tweeted by a Human Rights organization to over 21k followers...which I thought was pretty cool...note the cool picture...

And a lot of little stuff...including one politician running for senate down in North Carolina...

A ton of people using it, or parts of it, on Facebook and the like without giving proper credit...including an Army Base for a wreath laying ceremony...but, what ya gonna do?

I think this one fits how I feel at the moment, pretty well actually...

I don't think anyone will have to run to a dictionary while reading one of my stories...if that answers your question...
How Writers Write Fiction is a free online writing course open to anybody who wants to learn the techniques of effective fiction writing. The six-week course, sponsored by the University of Iowa’s “Open Courses” initiative at WritingUniversity.org, will be taught and led by both Christopher Merrill, WP Director and University of Iowa Professor of English, and R. Clifton Spargo, author of Beautiful Fools and Professor of Creative Writing at Wittenberg University. The professors, along with other successful authors, will deliver a variety of information, discussions and feedback on how writers create and hone the ongoing perfection of their skill. The course runs from Monday, September 29th to Monday, November 10th. Participants can access the course online at their convenience, at any time and from any location. Each week the moderators will spur new discussions, provide live feedback, organize live video fiction workshops, and offer skill-building exercises.

Btw...if you ever have a question about the legitimacy of a publisher, check this site...they're sort of a writer "watch dog" group, or something...

Writer Beware
http://www.sfwa.org/other-resources/for-authors/writer-beware/

I just did a search for "Rowanvale" and nothing came up...so, that's a good thing...

There's another group like Writer Beware, I just can't of the name at the moment...it's still early here, I believe I need more coffee...

For you guys: https://www.lushstories.com/forum/yaf_postst39208_Plagiarism-Advice-Stealing-and-Publishing-your-Work.aspx

Sorry I don't have time to do more. I used to, until it thoroughly depressed me as to how rife it is, and impossible to contain.

Yep...I'm sure I've said it before, since this topic has come up quite a number of times...my own attitude that I've adopted, being someone with quite a number of stories and poems out there on the net over the last few year is that I don't bother to do anything if someone steals something of mine and posts it on a free site...

If they're using something of mine to make money...ie: publishing it in a book or whatever...then I do something, and take whatever actions required...

Otherwise, you really can find yourself spending a lot of time on this stuff, along with the aggravation that goes along with it...and frankly, it's not worth it...there are better things you can be doing with your time as an author as far as promoting your work...or, God forbid, actually writing for that matter...

And trust me on this...you'll see this stuff just coming up more and more the longer you're a writer with stuff out there on the net...

(my words weren't "kind" BTW - they were pissed)

Just talking about that over in a Facebook group...if you do a search of that e-mail, you'll find that it's this person...

I only recently found out about Stories Space and now there seems to be this Spanish Lush. So I was wondering how many variations on Lush there are and what does the family tree look like. Which was the first site? When did it start? And so on.

I can probably answer that...

1. Lush Stories...December, 2006
https://www.lushstories.com/

2. Historias Lush - Spanish language erotica...February, 2010
http://www.historiaslush.com/

3. Stories Space - Non-erotic written stuff...July, 2010
http://www.storiesspace.com/

4. Lush Publishing - Quality erotic eBooks, reasonably priced...August, 2012 I believe...

That's all I know about anyway, though I believe that's it...if Nic has anything else going on, she hasn't told me anyway...hope that helps...
http://www.lushpublishing.com/
Yeah, I've been over there a while as well...and believe it or not, I actually work there...though admittedly it's hard to tell as of late...

And yeah, we'll take most anything that might not fit over here, and a few things that do, like love poems, for instance...anyway, if you can remember my name here, you can probably find me easy enough over there...

Stories Space - DirtyMartini
http://www.storiesspace.com/dirtymartini

Btw, there are quite a few members on both sites, as well as a few members here on all three Lush sites...so, if you have a favorite writer over here you can't get enough of, try doing a search over on the blue site for their name...you just never know...some of the more popular authors here, Rachel Spriteness, Pete Piquet, Ashleigh, and a bunch others are most definitely over there...

And btw...I'm still under the old name on the other red site, which is Spanish language erotica for anyone interested, and they have a cool forum even if you don't speak the language, and this page may or may not bring back memories for some here...looks like my page when I started here five years ago, pretty much anyway...

Historias Lush - Exakta66
http://www.historiaslush.com/exakta66

Damn...I've been on Historias so long my story Recuperacion Sexual is actually the first love story posted on the site...

Lisa did a search one time, and noted that there were four people on the site longer than me...and one of them was Gav...anyway, yeah...check that one out too when you get a chance...
Does look like a good reason to roast marshmallows, if you ask me...

A YouTube channel about Grammar than might be of interest to some here...appropriately enough called GrammarREVOLUTION...

Check it out my grammar loving friends...
