We woke up to fog that is frosting all the trees. It's really pretty. There's a frozen spiderweb in the back yard, but I'm too lazy to take a pic of it, so I will instead leave you with a pic of the new Sentinel space ship I nabbed today in No Man's Sky. Which is the only thing I've done today. It took hours. I renamed it The Argo.

Okay, adding a fifth story here, but after that I think we may be done.

To recap, my knee was out and my wife was out of town in mid-December. I wrote the bones of five stories in that two weeks (Gift-rapt, Faith and Joy, Sixteen Minutes - on the Blue site, Good Girl, and Fucktoy). This is the last of them. Most are variations on a theme, that theme being "I'm in pain, bored shitless, and kind of horny."

I think there needs to be a novel option. The site runs on short stories, yes, but there are some excellent writers here—like Techgoddess—that write primarily novels, and I think they are a unique and important part of the site. They have a following, and it hurts no one to keep the category in. I think they add to the site.

I am thinking of writing a series using only micros, meaning 100 words at a time. Each micro would (hopefully) be stand-alone. But I think I read here once that you can’t do a series of micros. I agree it would be difficult to pull off well. Mods?

The Stories Space judges. We just follow their decisions. (Edited) First place is 4, second is 3, third is 2, and top ten is a 1. Highest average number wins. Simple! If Blue team wins, they buy drinks at either here or Inspirations (without disclosing the wildly kinky, sex-crazed nature of the Red site of course). Ditto with Red team.

I played No Man's Sky ALL DAY yesterday. 180 hours into that game now. Today, I will slightly less lazy, but not by much.

Had a really sweet Christmas this year (after a run of bittersweet ones). Hung with daughter and grandson and Layla and had a wonderful time.

I got a super fancy Nintendo controller for Christmas and will spend the day playing No Man’s Sky. Does ANYONE here play this game? I am so taken with it.

I wrote two stories for this comp. The first one, I didn't read all the rules (do'h!) and didn't include anything about flashing in it. So I took it out of the comp about 5 minutes after entering. It's got bondage, filthy phone calls, and two full hours of edging. It's called Gift-rapt. I'm really proud of this one. I like to think it packs a little heat.

The second story IS my official comp entry. It's lighter, less emphasis on sexual heat and more on dialogue (it's the same unnamed couple as the first story, and most of my other stories). It gets very nipple-centric, if you are into that kind of thing. Clearly, I am. With a little exhibitionism thrown in, just for kicks. Chris M called it "elegant." The story is Faith and Joy.
