Why would it matter if one of the characters mentions reading some Lush author, or any other author that has published any stories? Their names and stories are publicly available and unless it says/suggests that those authors did or say something, other than publishing their story, I don't understand why one would need their approval.

- Just sometimes, this community can be a finicky and squabbly bunch and not get along with eachother.

- If the story being written is in a family related category, included person(s) under 18 but above the site requirements for erotica of 16, or, part of another category they don't like - there are some members who won't want their name to be mentioned anywhere near it which could mean editing later down the line without an agreement during writing.

- Others may want to silently build their own reputation, rather than being promoted or directed to by others.
