I think it's okay for a man to tell an unknown woman she is beautiful only if he walks away immediately. It could make her day. If he sees her again he should smile briefly and walk on. Any more could be considered confrontational. If she wants to take it further it is up to her.

Such a shame, Grace doesn't know what she's missing...but that's certainly fine. That leaves more for me...Lol! Waiting for the next to join in.

I do know what I am missing, and I do miss it. I was always bi until #2, the shit, fucked me up. Men make me physically ill now. I would love to be able to share the charmer with you. Or AM with Kelly. Both men have been good friends.

I'm sorry to bring a downer to this fun thread. I had to say it.

Well I’m sure he’s a charmer, but since we’ve not met yet, I will just enjoy the view.

Not for nothing is he called the charmer. I have known him for a year, and if I could I'd do him in a heartbeat.

ryan4, pass.
Unfortunately, he lost and had to pay court costs.

I'm 69, and I had to look it up. I am guessing it's toxic.

I remember we were told not to make much noise so the seagulls just thought we were just a bunch of beachgoers. We didn’t want those buggers drawn to the babies.

The best part was everyone silently cheering for the little ones to make it to the waves.

Look forward to your pics.

Not much to do with baby sea turtles, but I love the pic and it got my memory working.

Good Lord, I never realised that snapping turtles get that big.

My very bestest foster family, the one before my father was able to take me in, we used to go for drives on the back roads around Georgian Bay in Ontario. One day we were stopped by a foot long snapping turtle in the middle of the road. Carl, my foster father, tried to shoe it off to the side of the road, but it wouldn't budge. He got a shovel out of the back of the family station wagon and tried to scoop up the turtle. Not a chance. Seeing an enemy the turtle grabbed the shovel with all its might. Carl lifted shovel and turtle and moved the whole thing well off the road. Now he wanted his shovel back, but the turtle was not going to leave go of its enemy until it was certain the shovel was dead. Carl went to the hardware store the following Monday.

Wrong.

It's the parents, not the children. I never blame a child that young for their 'bad' behaviour, but the fuck stick parents. Sure, a kid can make a mistake, but day-to-day problems are the parents doing. You will notice this even more when you are a parent. You interact with other parents, (in my case) your kids' other parent is a teacher, (in my case) you have taught some as well, and you have volunteered as a lunch supervisor and whatever else one can volunteer to do from supervising field trips to hell, just about everything and anything. Once in a while, the child will act out because they've got a fuck stick teacher, but that is a rarity in our school system. But it happens. Junior High, with the 12 to 15-year-olds is brutal. High school is a bit better but has its own challenges. Post-secondary is another kettle of fish yet again. But the young ones are darlings. You already know this, but you set their expectations, and then you manage them. Train them early, train them fast, and be consistent.

Some parents use school as a babysitting service. Fuck sticks.

Some parents drop their kids off and never meet with the teachers. Fuck sticks.

Some parents should have never, ever had children. Lots of people and not necessarily fuck sticks. Shit happens. But as the saying goes, adults make children, but children make adults. If those kids are misbehaving, it's because the fuck stick parents didn't read the memo, "You're A Parent Now; Don't Be A Fuck Stick Anymore - IT AFFECTS EVERYONE!!!"

LJ, even though you are doing some soul searching, never blame the kids, especially those precious four-year-olds. See the world through their eyes, and you'll see the wonders, not the cynicism like us older shits. The latter part comes with age and experience.

Stepping down from my soapbox in 3, 2, 1. Ping has fucked off.

I am mindful of Henry, a four-year-old. His mother was a friend from way back of a girlfriend, she used to bring him to us when she wanted some Clara time. Henry was as good as gold with almost everyone unless his mother was around. Then he was one of the most revolting small children I ever met, but the moment Clara left he was a sweetie, even when he didn't want to do something.

"Henry, it's time for your nap."

"But I'm playing with my trucks."

"You can play with them later."

Somewhat dejectedly, but never argumentatively, "Okay."

Clara and Henry would have had a screaming match which Henry would have won.

Go figure.

And while you are figuring, may I have a pot of tea, please?

Yes, dammit.

Have you ever broken up with the same person more than once?

I wouldn't say you are gorgeous, but that puppy thinks so and she should know.
