Is long hair hot? Yes, and it gets in your face, and it's a pain to wash, and I always end up pinning it up. Wait, was that not the question?
I splurge on exquisite lingerie, vintage/antique/estate jewellery, and rare books.
Books are probably my biggest fund sinkhole--I collect first edition, first printing, signed books. My most prized (although not the most expensive in my collection) is a 1st/1st/Fine signed copy of Theodore Roosevelt's Through The Brazilian Wilderness. It's about a 25/75 split between books printed pre-1920 and books printed after that date; the oldest set in my collection is a three-volume set called, rather unremarkably, Acts of Congress. There are only about a hundred of these sets still known to exist, and I have one of those sets--published in 1791 and signed by the senator to whom it was presented.
I'm not keen on being forced to comment after voting.
You are overthinking this just a bit. You have a target audience (see: "Game of Thrones watching crowd") and that's fantastic, but there's no magic formula, no certain combination of words, that will guarantee you readers. A word or phrase that works well in one setting may be jarring in another. Writing, specifically writing well, is not something that can be done by following a recipe.
Watching porn--watching television or film--will not help you learn what works with words, and by your own admission, you've not read much literary erotica, if any. I would strongly recommend first reading more and watching less, and read not just erotica but a wide range of genres, with a healthy mix of writers and writing styles. In my own case, I do not watch, and have never watched or seen, visual porn. I might be missing something, or it might just not be relevant to writing porn.
Feel free to peruse my profile and take note of my very partial list of favourite writers--each has influenced, in some way, how I choose the words used to describe a given situation in a given story. Feel free also to reach out to the moderator/story verification team here at Lush; we love to help new contributors to the site. Good luck.
Flash I can do. It's the campaigning for views/votes/whatever where I come up short. *sighing and trudging off to the nearest corner*
My current "tea crush" is a blend produced by Stash called "Breakfast In Paris". It is best described as an Earl Grey with lavender notes. I still have my Murchie's No. 10 blend and Wedding Blend on hand, and of course the P&G Tips, but yah, the "Breakfast In Paris" has pushed my standard favourites aside for the moment.
"Baby". FFS, use my name.
Having lost a few beloved pets in the past two years, I am revisiting this thread.
Currently sharing my home, in the non-human sense, I have only my Lily, a 5 y/o spayed female Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd, and Niles, a 2 y/o neutered male white DSH cat who has the interesting trait of being "odd-eyed", or having heterochromic, eyes. One eye is clear blue and the other is sea green. Niles is approximately 12 lbs., Lily approximately 135 lbs.--but Lily is quick to give up her sleeping spot when stared down by her better. Yes, there is a lot of white hair adhering to various surfaces throughout the house.
What Scott and Jeff said. Also? Lots of stories start off fine and then, for whatever reason, end up wandering off into the woods to be eaten by bears. Or at least that's a thing with some of what I write.
See, this is why I wanted daughters instead of sons, the dress shopping thing... *sighing* the oldest son is graduating HS in June. For prom, my contribution is paying for everything *not* the dress.
I feel inordinately old. The other day I asked him to get something off a top shelf for me. I feel inordinately petite. When did my little nose-rubbing (we always did this nose kissing thing) boy turn into someone with three inches (at least) and fifty pounds on me?
A Rusty Nail would be fantastic right about now.
I'm pretty indiscriminate. Not a huge fan of red wine, though.
Errmm, I don't tan?
I'm either translucent white or I'm lobster red. There's no in between. It sort of sucks. Most of the year I step out of the shower and spray myself from neck to toes Neutrogena or Sun Bum sunblock. If I miss a spot, I'll know pretty quickly, even on overcast days.
Congratulations! I couldn't put it better than J. already did, no gif is good enough to represent the congratulations worthy of a one year anniversary. So...more congratulations!
Transferred to labour and delivery so that I could go back to working nights. Ugh. I totally forgot that it takes like two to four weeks for your body to adjust the sleep cycle. Fucking miserable right now.
Sorry. What I meant to say is, double Rusty Nail on the rocks with a Drambuie neat chaser. Thank you.
