you know im proud to say that by an early age my son was an accomplished little traveler. he did NOT run up and down the isles. but i actually took in mind to bring shit with me to occupy him so that he wouldnt be a bother to others....and if he did cry i would offer those around me drinks! biggrin

Unfortunately parents don't give a shit these days. Little terrors are a reflection of bad parenting, majority of parents don't teach their kids manners and respect anymore.

If I have kids, I would make sure my kids were equipped with quiet activities to keep them entertained. I was very well-mannered kid growing up, I'm sure my kids would turn out to be angels

But I love that idea!!

I love the new inbox layout. So neat and organised

I agree with Nic regarding the advanced story searches. It would easy to select one one or two categories rather than unchecking all of it

GREAT WORK Gav!!
He is a sexy bass player in a kick arse punk band called Don't Panic.
He has the most amazing blue eyes.
He's been on Lush for 2 years and collected an impressive set of badges. He also writes stories (which I'm going to check out after writing this )
I'm not quiet at all neither am I over the top screamer. I find it very hard to keep my vocals to a low decibel. I don't enjoy myself if I'm forced to be silent. This is in the context of sex- not masturbation.
I love to travel and I used to love flying but then one day my brain decided it wasn't really that fun anymore and it didn't like the way my stomach lurched and flipped upside down upon take off. Nor do I like sitting for hours feeling cramped and people assuming that I have short legs (I don't) so they reclined their chairs to the point where their stinky head is in my lap. I get cold really easily too, so once I'm on the plane I have to put extra layers, scarf and socks. I detest screaming/fiddly children- I know the poor babies can't help it and the ones that don't know how to sit still should be drugged, strapped in or placed in baggage storage.

In 18 days I will be on a plane to the other side of the world. My longest plane ride to date. It's a really early flight, so hopefully I sleep most of the way or I get to sit next to an interesting cute guy, strike up a conversation that makes the flight go faster (or would I want it to go slower)
The above, it's on a different tattooing platform. It's refreshing to see something different and unique until everybody starts doing it.
I'm a big fan of tattoos when done artistically and carries meaning for the person. Sadly, there are more than the fair share of crappy tattoos.
Exceptional tattoos came from great artists who choose to display their skills on the skin as canvas. I think tattoos are a form of art but I personally wouldn't call it fine art.

Throughout the ages, swans have been venerated for their elegant grace and gentle beauty. So it's little surprise that these personalities attract such admiration as they sail serenely through life. The swan's noble reputation is its greatest asset and it takes care to cultivate its image by always appearing calm in public.

Things are very different just below the surface, for fueling the swan's elegant glide is a high-energy paddling that consumes most of its emotional stamina. While it's common for a bird personality to exhibit this kind of emotional volatility, it is particularly noticeable in the swan when contrasted with its tranquil exterior.

Supporting a high-profile swan persona requires substantial energy, and a high metabolism can leave them feeling exhausted and drained. When life gets overwhelming, they will take off and find a tranquil, gentle place to meditate and recharge before returning to the real world. This unsettled aspect of their personality means that a swan has probably moved to a different city at least once its life, or is at least planning to do so.

Appearance is important to the swan who enjoys the finer things in life and it spares no expense in pampering itself. It would be a mistake to simply dismiss it as a fragile beauty though; for it is a well traveled, worldly bird who has seen the best and worst of the human condition. Its experiences have made it a well-rounded and worldly individual who can adapt to almost any career. It has no problem with taking direction from a boss and is always prepared to accept input from others.

Its work is well integrated into its life and it strives to find balance in its career and family life. Because swan personalities are often gangly and awkward as children, they have substantial experience in dealing with difficult people and are well equipped to handle conflicts in the workplace. Their innate empathy makes them ideal therapists, doctors, nurses or personnel managers. With their natural beauty they are also well suited for careers in the arts, with a particular affinity for music, ballet and acting.
distant rumble of a freight train at certain time in the night - as it takes me ages to go sleep, I find I'm fast asleep after hearing that
crunching of gravel walkway from foot or car
rain on a cool crisp night
silence
waves crashing against the shore at night
rustling of quilts/blankets on your bed when you're adjusting them
dull, distant rumblings of the washing machine, lawn mower, drilling

VC Andrews is one of my favorite authors. She wrote Flowers in the Attic, for those of you who do not know her. Anyway, I own every single book she has ever wrote. I recently bought her latest release and I cannot get into it!! How do you deal with a book written by a favorite author that you just cannot get into?

Her new stuff is a little ridiculous now. My favourite series would be the Casteel Series.

If I can't get into the book at that moment, I'll set aside and revisit it later... this can take months or a couple years and when I finally do, it usually ends up being one of my favourite books or a very memorable book.
pick up the book and open it up straight to page 34!
