I know that Lush have just invested in a new media server at great expensive and have migrated across to improve the speed and performance of the site.
It may be down to the actual .ASP architecture of the site itself which is different to the other sites you frequent; but I wouldn't say that I have had any particular problems with it myself.

At the moment, any editing of an existing story is passed back to a mod for approval - which is great!
Content and cover image changes should have a quick once over before being implemented, don't have any problem with that at all.
What would be good though is if this didn't apply to making a change to the 'Link This Story' option.
If you post a 'Part 2' story and want to edit the first to link onto the second, this currently takes your first story offline temporarily and requires a mod's time to re-approve, which I know is a valuable resource.
Is this something that could be implemented?
All the Lush mod's do a great job and this just seems like an additional burden to me. Anyone else agree?

What have all you lovely people been up to today?
Tell me, tell me, tell me I'm nosey.
Early start for me, 10k charity run so a bit sore this afternoon but its all for a good cause.
Baked my mum a lemon cake for Mothers Day - my speciality! (Recipe below if anyone is interested)
Lizzy's Lemon Cake
- 6oz Margarine
- 6oz Caster Sugar
- 8oz Self Raising Flour (Sifted)
- 2 x Large Eggs
- 3 x Large Lemons
- Teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
1. Mix the margarine and sugar together into a smooth mixture
2. Add the vanilla essence for flavouring
3. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and gradually mix in a little at a time along with the flour
4. Place mixture into a cake tray (the silicone ones are great) and bake for approx 45 mins at 180 degrees Celsius.
5. Keep an eye on it and test by sliding in a sharp knife - if it comes out clean, its ready.
6. Grate some of the peel off the lemons and then squeeze all 3.
7. When the cake has been removed and has cooled (but is still warm), pierce the top in several places and slowly pour over the lemon juice.
8. Sprinkle over a little granulated sugar (this is partly dissolved on the damp surface) and let it stand until completely cool.
Enjoy!

That would come in very handy for people who don't use MS Word, and may even pick up errors that Word misses. I'll give it a go too.
We trialled the checking software that chrome uses, in our story submission form, but couldn't get it to work efficiently.
Will give it a thorough trial on my next story submission shortly and let you know how I get on.

The new version of Google Chrome includes improvements to their spell check feature; which now includes support for grammar, homonym and context-sensitive spell checking.
As a final line of defence against those last minute typo's and grammatical errors, it may be worth using Chrome to submit the story before a final read-through.
I'm not aware of any other web browser that offers this extent of language support - give it a try and let others know how you get on!

Had a couple of questions about LushStories and StoriesSpace, thought I would be best to post them in here.
I was not aware that 'The Blue Site' even existing until a Mod mentioned it to me the other day - I think it is a fantastic idea as many of the authors on Lush like to write non-erotic stuff as well.
I was just wondering:
1 - Why is the other site not publicised anywhere on Lush?
2 - Would there be any objections to a Lush user advertising a link to their 'blue' profile? (Obviously not the other way around though.)
3 - Is it possible to link the user accounts for both sites to share one login? Or do two, totally separate user accounts need to be created?
