Thanks for asking in advance. You would be best advised not to submit such a story here at Lush; we don't accept stories containing racial slurs. If anyone sees one used in a story here, we would ask that it be brought to our attention.

LOL! I love Emily Litella, and find myself saying the same thing on occasion.

Some times what appear to be typos and bad grammar are literary devices. You should ask first.

Danand was asking about editing her own stories, not someone else's.

Following the advice of my mother, a kind and wise woman, I held back from replying when I first read this snide little comment of yours. In effect, I counted to 10 (and then some), but I find it still bothers me a week later.

Seriously, your third post ever in the forums is a smart aleck response because everyone didn't ooh and ahhh over your "fantastic" idea? We've seen it before, in spades: A newcomer struts in and wants to change the way the site is run to match his own perception of what it should be, without regard either to how things are actually done (and quite successfully, I might add) or to the explanation of why they're done that way.

Being condescending and impertinent is not the right way to go about making a name for yourself here at Lush, but I'm willing to give you a mulligan on this one, Blackstallion, if you can lose the attitude and start fresh.

... 1) People were submitting stories containing, what we deem, illegal content ( / cp / beastiality etc). So, unless a story moderator reads the stories prior to them going to an editor (talk about double-handling), this will always be a problem. ...

On other sites it doesn't work that way. The VE has first bite. That way the moderators will meet less poorly written stories and fewer poorly written stories, lightening their load a little. The volunteer editor may even advise that there may be a problem with the moderators.

Charmbrights, if all of the authors who may step up as volunteer editors were themselves as conscientious as you about following our guidelines, such a program might very well work as you envisioned. Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

It would engender hard feelings all around if a volunteer spent significant time working with a writer to polish a story, only to have it rejected for a content violation that a moderator would have spotted straightaway. Generally, we advise a writer to post a request for editing assistance here only after the story's content has been checked, thereby greatly reducing the chance of such a scenario occurring.

We do sincerely appreciate the offer to help out, and hope you'll check back regularly for requests posted by writers.
Go ahead and edit it, Danand, no one will be upset about it. The only thing you need to know is that when you edit a story, it won't be available for public viewing until it is re-approved, and right now there are quite a few stories already awaiting verification.

Also, creepy blogs about will result in an unfriending... I've deleted a surprising number of men who had pics in their galleries of family members they've supposedly fucked.

Welcome to all the newcomers (some of whom have been here for a while now since my welcome is so tardy ).

I hope you all have lots of Lush fun here!
Hi Austin, welcome to Lush! Hope you have a good time here!

Yahtzee, just click on the Most Viewed tab up top on the home page.

(It took me a while to figure it out, don't worry.)
I'm so glad you're all okay, LMB, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that Lolly finds her way home yet too.

actually, i do think it's a good challenge and will force us to put some work into picking the perfect words instead of every single word that comes to mind smile

Ms. Sprite, that gave me a good laugh. Thank you.
Thanks for posting this, Charmbrights.

Since you now have more than 20 forum posts, you should be able to include links to the baby names websites. If it still doesn't work for you, please let us know.
Chuck Mangione, Feels So Good (long version)

Dave Brubeck is pretty high on my list of chill out music choices, but No. 1 will always be Stan Getz. Smooth and sexy...

Good idea, Yahtzee — the thread has been moved into Writer's Resources.

Buz, I saw your post in the other forum and I wanted to say a big THANK YOU for the incredible effort you put forth to make your messages clean and tidy. I have never had any trouble reading any of your posts.

I realize what a challenge dyslexia can pose. The fact that I had no inkling until today that you suffer from it, even after reading so many of your posts, says a lot about you and your perseverance. You are a great example and role model.
What about the second part of the good advice, Bigguns? Did you think carefully about your reply, before pressing the submit button - and only then, join in?

Did you look at the OP's profile to see what personal circumstances might make realizing he's gay seem like a predicament to him?

Are you aware that the word predicament simply means difficult situation?

Do you own a dictionary or thesaurus?
Quote by bigguns
its not really a predicament
wrong choice of words buddy
but happy national coming out day just the same

Here's some good advice, buddy...it might seem vaguely familiar.

Maybe in future, spend 5 minutes thinking about a) is this a subject you have any experience in whatsoever b) did you think carefully about your reply, before pressing the submit button - and only then, join in.
Hi, rondel, and welcome to Lush! I see in your profile that you are married, so realizing now that you are gay could certainly create a predicament in your marriage. Is your wife aware of your sexual orientation?

How to handle it is such an individual and private matter, you need to decide what is best for you in your situation. Here is a basic guide to coming out with tips that might be helpful:

Best of luck to you.
My two favorite comments on The Secret Life of Bellingham Sam are these:

~ From Gypsymoth: "...I love it; you hit just the right note of humour, satire, affection and genuine understanding of what is erotic. Sex and human relationships are funny. You've nailed it."

~ From servin9: "Unlike anything I've read before in its structure. A gripping tale that flows so effortlessly. Very Well Done. Wish I could give it a higher score. 5+++++"

Magnificent, what say you?

I think raccoon eyes look fantastic...on raccoons. On humans, they're damn silly, in my opinion.
Happy Birthday, good sir Mercian Knight!
