These kinds of threads will never go the way the original poster wants. I think it only draws more attention to how silly this is.
Gav gave you a block tool. Just use it. I've learned on forum posts...you block the people that you don't get along with. It's just like in real life. Do you talk to people that bother you.......NO.
Why is this any different here. The more attention you give to people that annoy you....THE MORE attention they give you. Just IGNORE THEM.
These threads go around and around like a merry go round. Your not Accomplishing anything. It's comical after awhile. We have all put our foot in our mouths one time or another here. It's best to not talk on these threads if you are constantly annoyed. It's not fun if you are just bickering back and forth. Once you make a thread it's here forever unless they take it down, which is hardly never. Be careful with what you have to say....PEOPLE DONT FORGET....
BLOCK....BLOCK......BLOCK
Then enjoy your time here. Don't let a few people ruin your time. In life you can't LIKE EVERYBODY.

When I first came I avoided the forums like the plague. I met a few people that showed me how fun the forum can be. If you just stay in the game forums you can have a lot of fun. Although, I have seen some bickering there too. But, not nearly as much as some other threads.
I have gone into the think tank and have had some interesting conversations. I have also gotten into some very heated conversation and threads that have become locked. However, I have met a lot of friends in the forums and even in the bickering ones. I have had my fill of the think tank and just stay away from them. I do like to read them and will chuckle because they always get derailed from the original topic. I have seen some really crazy stuff that gets deleted fairly quickly.
I like to create polls and ask questions in the crowd sourcing threads.
If you just try to be polite and try not too ruffle too many feathers, it can be fun. Of course, I have had my feathers ruffled many times. I have grown up a lot and try to have a thicker skin.
I mostly stay away from the topics that are hot. I will always read them.
