Can we get a different colored background maybe? It's been red forever. Blue, black or grey would be nice. Isn't that just CSS coding?![]()
Maybe navy blue with a gold trim or black with a grey trim would make it pop.![]()
I guess I'm the only one sick of the red?![]()

if the interface changed a little, you could add more branding. Or even have a logo made or whatnot. I made a few to show you.
just spruce it up?![]()
the red or perhaps a new color could be expanded slightly. just my![]()
You could have a slogan contest, and the winner gets a membership. idk

So yeah...this is the Think Tank, where discussions happen. Can we lay off the excessive memes? Create a separate thread for it in another part of the forums if posting Trump memes is that important to you, but it's beyond ridiculous to have page after page of memes and cartoons in threads meant for actual discussions.
Please and thanks.

I agree with the comment removal issue. It's only going to cause problems. I have no idea why it was added in the first place!
I've sent a message to Gav, asking if he can fix it up. It's clearly a bug. The setting only have the option of sending a message when someone has actually posted on one of your stories, not when they remove one.

@ oceanrunner - I think the issue is the way in which the database stores information. It can only be allocated fully to one member, otherwise there are duplication issues.
We'd have to change the site design, to allow the listing of 2 authors on the story page. It's doable.
Having an RR / EP allocated to both authors, makes sense. That would be a minor code change I believe.
We get so few stories co-written, it's a question of allocating resources, to changing things around.

i third this. i have no desire, or need, to know who deletes comments from my work.

Having finished another collaboration, this time as the secondary author, I'd like to repeat a request I, and others, have made before.
Could there be consideration given to having both authors share more completely in the fruits of being the author? That is, to having the story be considered more really and truly belonging to both authors in terms of how it is displayed, alerted, and perhaps even rewarded.
I think it's been a huge step forward to have the collaborator badge, and even more so, the list of stories on your profile that you weren't the main author on. It's great when you browse others' profiles and are able to see at a glance other stories those authors were involved in.
Still, I feel as if things could be a bit more even. For example, I'm pretty sure being the secondary author doesn't generate one of those alerts to the secondary author's followers. I have a decent number of followers, but I don't think they necessarily get informed that I have a hand in a new story that's out. If they liked my work enough to follow me, they might want to know about a collaboration I've done.
On the home page, only the primary author's name and avatar appear on the story. Perhaps both authors' could appear.
Finally, I do think something like an RR should accrue to both authors' stats, but that's a more minor, ego-centric issue. (If the fear is that the story is double dipping, that is, being counted twice, I would point out that this is already happening with the numbers in the collaborator badge. Both authors' numbers go up in that badge, even though it's a single shared story, but only one author's author badge or RR badge number goes up.)
Collaboration can lead to some interesting results. The site has made neat strides lately in giving a sort of tangible reward, or incentive, depending on how you look at it, towards collaboration.
I think things could be a bit more even. Obviously, some collaborations are one-sided, and there is a clear "main author." Other times things are not quite so clear cut.
thanks for considering it.

After waiting all these long days for the exciting moment to arrive, I can’t help but wonder what all of you will think if at the last moment, the following message suddenly appears from our very secretive Sprite. Something to the effect of, ‘Due to unforeseen circumstances, the announcement will be made at a later date.’
After even suggesting such an occurrence, is it still safe for me to hang out around here? Lol
**Special note to Sprite**
I’m sure you have been reading this thread, so I know you will see this. Personally, I’d love to see a message like the one I suggested, appear. It would be very interesting to see people’s reaction.

Holy shit would the two of you just fuck each other already and put us all out of our misery?!
You know you're a Lush veteran when you've mastered the art of meta-quoting to make your point.

That, or maybe your explaining skills are just not up for the task. You know my excuse. What's yours?
Oh, and believe me I have tried. It just wouldn't work. Too bad, I know.
BTW, who's Hoover?

Sucking up to the mods is not really a thing I associate with Jack. But maybe that's not what you're trying to say.
Anyway, if I could self-fornicate I'd probably have no need to get on here.

I understand you and some others views about this, but really, having a dormant account should not affect anyone here. This is a waste of time for Gav or someone to comb-out 2 year old stagnant accounts.
Here's a case in point - NaughtyAlice joined in March 2011 and had an unfortunate accident in July 2011 and subsquenty died a year later. She left us with six terrific stories that should not be wiped out. For those whose math skills are rusty .... she has not been online for 6 years. This account is a legacy of her art. No one should decide to remove it because it's stagnant.
People have lives outside of Lush. Some people, particularly those who read and vote/leave comments but are not authors, should not have their accounts deleted, because they have outside Lush lives.
Not everyone looks at Lush as an integral part of their lives .... for some it's just a stop point and then they punt .... but it is definitely a large .... very large .... undertaking to weed the non-voting/comment "dead" accounts. There are more important things to do to improve the Lush site than this.
