As someone already stated, most people here don't use their real pictures as their avatars and many that do, don't show you enough of themselves to be identified. Not sure why it is even a big deal. Of course people are going to want some sort of privacy, especially on a site like this. And yes, my avatar is not me and never will be me. I just picked it because I liked the guys clothing style. I may switch it out in the future to some other image that may represent something I like or trait in my personality.

However, just because my avatar is not me, that doesn't mean you cant get to know the real me. The real me is not a picture, it is my personality and interests. The things I say and express here, are the real me. In fact, if we become friends, you may get to know more about me than people who know me in person, because the anonymity allows me to be more open about my real thoughts and feelings. Not to say, I wouldn't ever consider sharing my real picture with an online friend if that was important to them. I have before and I would again, but I would have to feel a connection and certainly trust them, especially since I probably tell them more than some of my in person friends.

In our daily lives, where people see your real face, I am sure most of us were some type of virtual mask, so to speak, at least to those who are not our family or friends. So seeing the real face, doesn't mean they know the real you either.

On Lush, my mask is my avatar. The rest is me.

In my in-person life, my face is real, and many people get to know a little about me, but I am guarded to only let a select few to get to know a lot about the real me.

But to answer the original question, I was fooled once in talking to what I thought was a girl and it turned out to be a guy. Although I don't mind people using fake pictures, I do like to know your gender and personality is not fake.

You capture the ideal well. FWIW, I did use a picture of my real self as an avatar for a few days, but a friend said, more or less, "Ew!" So I found a nice torso that would be me if it was 20 years ago and I was in better shape. All the text in my profile is true, though. (Maybe not. I might be 5'6", but that's in my doctor's office. I do weigh exactly 156 pounds.)

...

If/when the truth does come out, the heartbreak is very real. And I'm sorry that's something you had to go through, Porgy87. It sucks, and I'm not really sure what else to say about it. It's not something I'd wish on my worst enemy. But you definitely have my sympathy.

Having a bit of fun is one thing, but deceiving people and playing with real emotions is another thing entirely. No one deserves that.

To be fair, I felt more sadness and disappointment than anger when I decided that I had been hustled. In a very real sense, all that happened is that some electrons got moved around and a bunch of LEDs got lit up; there was no exchange of bodily fluids. I'm all right.

BTW, Dani, you adorable big-haired bitch, you, I am 100% dead solid certain that you are genuine. No one could possibly make up a persona as interesting as you!
I met someone here on Lush and was completely convinced that I was speaking with a real person whose profile was truthful and honest. We had, I thought, a sincere friendship with a genuine intimacy. It took me nine (9!) solid months of almost daily conversations to discover that the person was a fake.

What's the longest you've been fooled by a faker here?
I AM just about back to my regular routine after a vacation.
I am more content, comfortable, optimistic, and happy today than I have been in a very long time.
First of all, I love sprite madly.

Now then: "OK" is certainly a word. We can disagree about how it should properly be spelled (or "spelt") but it is nonsense to proclaim that the sound is not meaningful to almost all speakers of English, plus a good segment of the non-English speaking world.

Dictionaries almost universally specify "OK" as the primary spelling, with "okay" a usually accepted variant, and "O.K." an occasionally accepted variant.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary, American Heritage Dictionary
Definition is "OK", with "okay" listed as a variant.

Dictionary.com
OK or O.K., okay

Publishers have "style books" that tell writers how to put their work in a form that aligns with the standards of the publication:

Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian and Observer
OK

The Telegraph
OK (only in quotes)

Star-Ledger (New Jersey, USA), Reuters
okay

New York Times
O.K.

National Geographic, BBC, The Economist
Does not mention

Wikipedia Manual of Style
Does not mention, but entries in the manual itself use OK and okay interchangeably

There are independent style guides also:

Garbl's Editorial Style and Usage Manual, Tameri Guide for Style
OK

Gregg Reference Manual
okay

The Grammarist (web site)
"Okay, OK, and O.K. are all acceptable spellings of the word. OK is more common in edited writing, but okay appears about a third of the time. O.K. is preferred by a few publications, including the New York Times, even though it is not an abbreviation of anything in modern use."

The Chicago Manual of Style
“OK” as the first spelling—but that does not mean it is preferred. Rather, “okay” is an equal variant (also standard).

I'll leave the final opinion to the "fictorians.com" reference site for fiction writers:

Fiction Writers: Use “Okay” ... if you’re a professional fiction writer, you should be relying on the Chicago Manual of Style, not your friends’ opinions.
Chicago requires “okay.” End of story.

News Writers: Use “OK” ... the conclusion is entirely different if you write press releases or articles for your local newspaper.
The Associated Press Stylebook requires “OK.” End of story.

Speaking personally, since Lush Stories does not have a style guide, I'm going to use whichever damn spelling I feel like.

"Ok" is not a word.

When you are writing prose, please take the extra three milliseconds to write the full word, okay?

I don't think the shortened version, OK, is ever necessary, but certainly not in general prose or in dialogue. Sometimes you will see it on signs or written on notes, but not in general use. Please stop it before you give me an aneurism.

(OK can also be confused with the two-letter abbreviation for Oklahoma).

"aneurysm"
GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY (but not in a very long time)

Have you ever masturbated so vigorously or for so long that you damaged yourself somehow?
Last year I decided to see what all the fuss was about as far as butt play is concerned, so I went shopping in an actual store. At ██████████ (no advertising here) I had a long talk with a very nice woman who helped me select both a butt plug and an anal dildo. (Mine are the maroon ones.) The important thing in both cases is the flared base so they don't get lost. These are on the small side, I'm told, "suitable for first timers."

After a year, I have to say I like them just fine!

However: Always use TOO MUCH lube! And when you're sure you've used TOO MUCH, use MORE!

mm them sweet panties look like they are Jamey66 panties yummy

Don't they?!? I wonder how that girl's doing...
Probably not. There would have to be a strong reason to do it, and I can't imagine one.
I've learned to love solo ass play and I fantasize constantly about being fucked by a woman who is wearing a big strap-on. I'd do it in a heartbeat, and I've suggested it to my wife, but it's an absolute no-go for her. So I'll never have it IRL.
Hi all, I just posted a pic in the "Pantie Tugging" thread of Sexy Pics in the Entertainment forum. I did that today (8/30/2015) at 5:45 PM local time, which for some reason the system thinks is 6:45.
However, the pics were inserted in the thread with a date of 8/1/2015, which did two things:
1. The pics displayed properly in the list as if I had posted them on 8/1 (I've since edited them to say nothing much);
2. The "most recent post" indicator on the thread was also reset to 8/1, which means that the thread now appears on page 4 or so of the thread list.

I suspect there's a bug there? Could it have something to do with the apparent outage of all Lush services yesterday?

(Notice that the date of this very post is August 1, 2015, despite the fact that it's the 30th.)
