To me; that is how it should be. I do not see any reason a third party should be made aware of what mod awarded an RR to a story that was not theirs. Why it would be so critical for a person other than the writer or other mods to have that information is beyond me, but I assure you that the drama it would cause would quickly put an end to anyone like me awarding one. We have enough scrutiny and necessity to explain ourselves in threads like this to invite that kind of personal second guessing.

provided because this seems to be a sensitive subject and I am going to comment because I am a sensitive person. I have submitted and had verified/posted seven stories. All have received over 15 comments, some twice that. Five of them have average scores of 5, the other two have an average score of 4.97 and 4.95. None of them are recommended reads...nor do I give a rats ass (actually I don’t have a rat so I can’t). There are several stories on here I think are exceptional. I’ll name just two: (1) I read The Tub of Cherry Garcia by Bethany Frasier well over a year ago and still remember it for its humor, entertainment value and intelligence, and (2) The Plumber by VirgoGo is possibly the best Flash Erotica story extant. Neither are recommended reads. Conversely I have read a few RRs where the sentiment “Shit! I’m gonna cum!” is apparently considered stellar prose. I disagree, but it’s not my call. I am not a Mod.
My few direct dealings with Mods have been quite fulfilling. I had one story returned by a mod that she thought might violate site guidelines. She told me exactly why and I was able to fix it by rearranging about a half a dozen words. I think the Mods do good work and are of value to this site. I do not think they should be required to justify their choices of RRs. It’s obviously just a matter of taste. Nor do I think we need to limit to whom or when a Mod can give a RR, nor do I think RRs must be "bathed in the waters of popular sovereignty.”
I doubt that when I am on my deathbed, “Why the fuck didn’t I get any RRs!” will be among my final thoughts. Nor is it among my thoughts now. This site works just fine...leave it alone!
