I wrote an FTM story called 'Miranda's Journey' about a year and a half ago, but I didn't ask anyone who is transgendered for their input. I wish I had, so I'm asking now.

What are the biggest misconceptions surrounding the TG community?
What pushes your buttons the most when reading a story that does not at all represent you, and what do you want us to know?

A couple of thoughts about the reinstatement of the category. I understand not permitting the discussion of this subject anywhere on the site, but you might consider one possible exception. When people are co-authoring a story, oftentimes they like to discuss it in real time in a chat window, or perhaps a locked room. It could be emailed back and forth, though I am not sure if Lush rules allow even that, but that is not in real time. Many people do not like to go off site, so the restriction does pose some difficulties.

My second thought is about the Omnium badge. The few people that have earned it, worked very hard to get that badge, and it seems rather unfair to just take it away because the site decided to add new categories. Possibly giving some sort of a time frame to add a story in each of the new categories (the time frame being proportionate to the number of additional categories) might have been a bit more fair. As a sub-thought to this, when I was working toward the badge and the category was still here, it was the one category I knew I would have a hard time writing about as it is something I am dead set against. And I was thrilled when it was removed.

In view of the amount of discord for this particular subject, more so than any other, could Lush consider making this a "voluntary" category in earning the Omnium Badge? If every other category is represented, the badge would still be awarded.

Thank you, Adele. This would be, IMO, the best way to handle it. There are going to be those that love this genre. I would love not to have it as a qualifier for the Omnium badge. =d>
So...Topology (had to look that up, btw). Like a sexy 'Rubberband Man' or 'Mrs. Incredible'? Sorta sounds like the Superhero thing...Although...it could be something that morphs.

Still like the Rock and Roll catagory
The perfect age is Nineteen. Still a kid, yet an adult, but I wouldn't go back to being that age without knowing what I know, and the confidence I've gained. Most young people are too young to appreciate youth

I wondered if this poem was known in the US. I think it is in the UK. It is iconic in Canada and taught in grade school as part of Remembrance Day. Canadians patriotism is expressed differently than in the US but this day is marked with respect by all. The blanket of poppies on the war memorials is a moving reminder of all who were lost in all the wars from WW I through to the present.

No, it's not. I've never read it before but I love the significance of it.

Coming from a skid row concert last night and seeing all those women still throwing themselves at the men I voted rock and rollers. Hot guitarists, crazy drummers, groupies how can you go wrong.

Pershing Square, no doubt
Quote by principessa
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Written by John McCrae, a Canadian soldier and doctor in the wake of WW I. I believe that this is the origin of the poppy we wear in the weeks preceding November 11. The poppies are then placed on local war memorials, blanketing them in red.

This is beautiful. Thank you for posting it here

Perhaps once but it was more of a skim-over in my lugguage.

However I did receive a letter from customs saying they had seized a mail-order copy of Cannibal Holocaust that I tried to get about 15 years ago.

Sound's like someone working for the TSA wanted it. I can't imagine how a book can be dangerous. Did you report it?

not really about making money, as much as paying for the things that keep the site running. Nikki stopped thinking of Lush as a way to early retirment ages ago - now it's more of a labor of love. smile

and yeah, we gave it a go, but god, it hurt like a somuvabitch.

ps - come on, you know us, no matter what Nikki says, someone's gonna stick their neck out and field concerns.:)

If it keeps LUSH going, I'm okay with it. It's not like we have to read these stories, and we can even block the category. This site is better than Facebook, or any other social network out there.

Honestly, I think it should be advertised as such
Example;

If I pick 'Fight Club'

the next guess could be...i.e;

Rocky

So, next person has to find a movie with something in common with Rocky, but it doesn't have to be about boxing.

How is it that you know? I've been in the Airline industry for 24 years. They must be scannable. Opaque containers, cannot, under any circumstances, be opened

<--- See that ugly old dude to your left.? That's a puppy he's holding ... supposed to be a real chick magnet

LOL!! The dog, or the old guy? Both are pretty darn attractive

But, I am serious about the ability to delete friends blogs posts from my page. I don't like graphic sex on my page. Gav?.....
