Good evening. I've missed everyone and hope all is well. I had been sick and in bed for most of the last week. I'm on the mend but tire easily. Thankfully it wasn't Covid related but a pretty bad cold. I've roamed around the site some and still unsure of it all. I like the way things were but one thing I noticed on my profile is I now don't have any badges which is odd, does anyone else have the same issue? Good morning my lush fam. This is definitely going to take some getting used to. Some of these changes I recognize from the mobile site but it is definitely a bit confusing for sure. Especially for someone who has been experiencing a lot of brain fog these last few months. I'm sorry I haven't been around but so much has been going on in my life. My littley is in school full days this year so far and she couldn't be happier. She is enjoying the 2nd grade. I was grateful to finally break through my writers block and submitted an entry into the comp. I appreciate everyone who read it and commented. Thank you for this. It's really great to see the most viewed stories in each category. I have to say there are many great writers on these lists but it makes me wonder about people who are no longer with us. Their was some really great authors who left and took their stories with them. Some had been part of the lush fam for many years but for one reason or another decided it was no longer for them. I'm really surprised to see my name anywhere on this thread let alone for a poem. Good morning, my favorite lushies. Big Bertha has been de-sludged (saved for Carl), rinsed and filled with some of the most aromatic coffee. The kettle is on the tea and cocoa. I've brought along some blueberry muffins. I hope everyone is doing well. Things are ok here in Jersey, just another humid day. My littley is doing great. She is at a sleepover now. I believe her cousin said they are going swimming today. She has been working so hard at dance. She can now do a one-handed cartwheel. I think I'm going to grab some tea and enjoy some peace and quiet. Hugs to all.

Good morning and happy hump day. Big Bertha has been de-sludged (saved for Carl), rinsed and filled with some Jersey spring water and some dark roast. The kettle is filled and on for tea and cocoa. I've gathered all the glasses and mugs from yesterday and gave them a cursory wash. I've also brought along some of my "banana-split" cake.
It's going to be a hot and wet day here in Jersey today but nothing like Florida. Kat I hope you are doing ok. Anyone in the path of Elsa I hope you are safe and haven't had any damage done.
Nothing new here. My littley has started her summer dance classes. These are to prepare her for next seasons competitions.
For the first time ever I can't wait for the first day of school. My nephews can sure drive me crazy. I told my mil that I must be getting old cause my boys never drove me this crazy. They are not to happy with me, as I make them do 20 minutes of schoolwork each morning. It's not difficult work. Just helping in their weaker areas.
Well it's time for me to grab my tea, sit back in the quiet and maybe get to read one or two comp entries. Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe.

Good morning and happy Moanday. Today is a scorcher here in the East. I know most of the west coast can tell me it's been hotter there. I'm back to the grind, so to say, today. The kids are back from vacation and my littley is very happy.
Speaking of my littley, her recital was absolutely amazing. She rocked seven dances and even started to learn one of the upper girls jazz dance. She is also 7 now. She likes to keep reminding me that only three more years until she's 10. Not ready for all that. She had a really nice birthday. She and her cousins went swimming and we had pizza, cupcakes, and ice-cream. What more could kids want. Mommy is not normal being that I am making them do 30 minutes of "school" work. I told her she doesn't want to lose any of the great things she learned. Honestly, it's more because my nephew is kind of behind her and needs to be closer. I know she is more advanced but he doesn't even read his "sight" words.

They definitely are using an array of music from Better Place by Rachel platen, to Do Wah Diddy Diddy by Manfred Mann, to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cindy Lauper. On the top of the dances she has learned she has been trying to learn an older girl's solo dance to Grown Woman by Beyoncé. It's not an easy dance.

I've gathered all the glasses and mugs from around the bar. I brought a long some warm croissants for anyone who'd like one. Not too much going on here. It's very hot and sticky already. Of course this year our AC gave out. Tomorrow is my littley's recital. I can't wait to see the girls after everything being canceled last year. My littley is in 7 dances. She has 5 costumes to change into. Hopefully they will have it all down pat. My s/o through out his back yesterday. I know how painful that is. He's home today, now.
