She knows. She's a member of Lush too!
Hey Rump! I echo Curvy's Ta on the set-uo!
How are you Suzie? Hey, Scott!
Ping, I don't know who Ana is. We made noises about seeing Knives Out this weekend, but ended up being extremely lazy. With Christmas prep almost entirely done, we deserve some laziness.
Saw Marriage Story this weekend. Really good. Amazing cast, especially the three lawyers: Laura Dern (yum!), Ray Liotta, and Alan Alda. Adam Driver is really good in it too. Even Scarlett is good in it, and I'm not s big fan of hers.
Yoingest's birthday today. 17. Whew, how time flies.
Köffee please.
Ping, are you bringing this up because your parents named you Ping and it sounds like a sound effect from a cartoon, so you blame them for in effect turning you into a walking, living, breating cartoon?
Whew. Long sentence.
She put down her knife! Also, she's down to earth and well spoken, and an excellent writer!
Much better than yesterday's thank God.
Is there one easy place to see all your views, or do you need to pull out a calculator?
A hubcap coming off our car and rolling across the road as we were driving. It was cool!
What is your fondest memory?
I'd second the two names that keep popping up, Rumple and CurvyGalore (aka Curvy the Unquenchable), for their always helpful support and their whip-smart writing and editing skills, as well as the drama-free good vibes they spread around the site. Both have helped me out with suggestions and ideas and constructive critisism, and I've seen them both help out countless others.
Joan Didion said "Grammar is a piano I play by ear" and I love that quote - I don't know most of the rules, but I get most of them right anyway (I still have blind spots, like when to use "lay/lie").
I think most of us here, and most of the writers I know, DON'T have a grasp of the technical minutia involved. We just instinctively know, without ever knowing why we know. We don't really need to know the why.
Impeachment hearings, like I do nearly every day lately.
