Well this is already my favorite thread of the day today...
No. I've turned down sex (with--and I am not making this up--a preacher's daughter) because she was a virgin and I didn't want the responsibility of taking her virginity.
False - I AM sure some of these friendships are real.

ToF - you think more people are here for simple companionship than for sex.
II watched the last quarter of the Super Bowl. I usually watch the game, but just couldn't muster up the enthusuasm this year. Lame half-time show from what I heard. The last great half-time show was Beyonce. Greatest of all time was Prince, of course.

Sara, yeah, 17 days til regular Spring training, but only 10 until pitchers and catchers report, which to me is the official beginning of baseball season. Exciting week - baseball begins, Valentine's Day, and the first Serious Moonlight book comes out. All in a two day period. I am psyched!

Thanks for getting BB hot and ready to spew liquids, Tonya. I hope your health woes are on the ebb. I'll have a cuppa joe please.
Not a deal breaker AT ALL, one of the great turn-ons from it (for me) is that the woman is into it. Her having the desire to is very hot.

No ass play of any kind would not be a deal breaker, but it might get a little boring. I like to play. smile
Anybody still reading this? I've been neglecting it for awhile.

So, 15 days to go before launch! I decided at the last second to rearrange the order of many of the stories, to make the whole thing more linear (for those of you who have been following the Shards from the outset, the original idea was that they should be read out of order, but I am making things easier for the readers out there). Anyway, I had to redo a bunch of book covers, and consulted not one but TWO spreadsheets to mak sure I had the numbering and the plotting correct. CRAZY! Sometimes I think I make changes at thhe last second because I get a weird rush from being in panic mode.

Anyway. The first 28 stories are loaded into Amazon and ready to publish with the push of a button. The 19 remaining stories are line edited, but need formatting, covers, keys words and blurbs.

And if you just did the math in your head, you will realize I am 5 stories short of 52. So I have to write those. I have til, like, Christmas of next year to get them written. I am sorta burned out on erotica right now (because of this project mostly), but I will get them written in time. I hope. Plus, I can use the time to massage the order of the last ten-ish stories to give the whole thing a nice wrap-up.

Blog traffic is rising slowly, newsletter is getting the occasionnal new sign-up, Facebook page is even getting a little traction, though I bet my page gets booted by the end of the year due to sexual content.

TGIF greetings to all good Rumplators and a special 'hats off' to all the bad ones. ;)

The deviant one has come and gone after draining the last bottom settlement from Big Bertha. That sludge is, of course,, the very best for you, health-wise on account as how that's where all the nutriants, minerals and beneficial chemicals collect. Still, all that meant BB needed a serious sand-blasting to get her bottom burnished to a bright glow. That accomplished, water from the Atchafalaya Bayou combined with dark roast coffee from Marie LaVeau's kitchen should make for some prime drinking today.

To go with today's Mardi Gras theme, a batch of beignets, complete with powdered sugar, is available. Now y'all don't make a mess and clean up after you do -- y'all hear me?

There's plenty of the bar's bleers, whines, and fine lickers for those wanting a little variety. So whadda ya wanna drink, already?

Bill, you set up and cleaned Big B with no help from Curves or Tonya? AND brought us beignets!? No wonder I love this bar.

Sorry you are feeling poorly Tonya. And that Chris is still recovering.

My daughter's hamster, who lives in my room (long story), got loose last night. Layla was in the closet, and said "What's that noise?" and I looked and found Skittles the hamster hiding in one of my shoes, chirping unhappily. He successfully avoided the cats, and is now back in his cage, fed and watered and safe and happy.

A couple cups of köffêè please.

EDIT: My last words about Serious Moonlight thing before I launch are up on the Shardoverse thread. https://forum.lushstories.com//yaf_postsm3259968_The-Shardoverse.aspx#3259968

men who are not verbal are vastly over-rated.

Fixed that for you.

More beer please.

Hope you feel well enough for your surgery soon, Tonya and I hope your knee doesn't keep you up, Sara. Anyone got a story i ought to read?

Read my ghosty stuff over on the rhymes-with-gnu site. Scaaaaaaary...

Hit me with a beer, barkeep. Long day, and not even nearly over.

one of the comp rules is residents of Colorado are banned from entering.

I live inside my head. Yes, both my head and me reside in Colorado, but time and space are merely a construct.
This one is in my wheelhouse, and I even have an idea. What I may not have is time to finish it before deadline.

Still, great comp theme.
Thanks for getting Bertha desludged, Tonya. I'd love some banana bread, and a cuppa joe to go along wth it.

Good comp theme. I might enter. 6000 words in a month might be a bit much for me though. I'm too frikkin slow a writer.

We have some snow on the ground, and it's below freezing, but we are well oout of the path of that crazy colder-than-Antarctica polar vortex thing. Supposed to get iinto the high 40s today. My sympathies for those in the path of the thing.

Caught up on a little Lushy reading last night. Next stop is the site whose color rhymes with shoe.

Enjoy hump day all.
AM talk radio, which I realize is a really boring answer. For music I plug in my mp3 player.

Breakfast in the morning, or ten thousand cups of coffee?

It's just my .02, but some fantasies are best when you and she have an unstated knowledge that they will always remain as fantasies. Somehow, knowing that they will never be more than a fantasy gives the two of you room to really explore that fantasy together.

This, exactly. There is a TON of freedom in knowing it will remain a fantasy.
Thanks for the set-up, Miss Curvy. I'd love a köffee.

sorry I have been so remiss at reading stories. Life is busy. Don't have a lot of time for reading or writing. Hopefully thsst will change soon.

Enjoy your day all. Stay warm!

From the Australia is a weird place file comes this story, "A Canberra woman holidaying in Brisbane had a nasty surprise this week when a carpet python bit her on the bottom while she sat on the toilet... She called snake catcher Jasmine Zeleny and "kept vigil over that toilet seat" until Ms Zeleny arrived to fish the 1.6-metre long snake out. Mrs Richards said the bite drew blood but was not very painful and she initially treated the wound by washing it with soap and water and spraying it with antiseptic, then calming down with "a couple of gin and tonics" when her sister-in-law arrived home."

Now there are two morals from this story. One barkeep is that a gin and tonic never goes astray. So I will have one.

And second, as Australia has more venomous snakes than any other country in the world, being home to 9 of the top 10 most venomous snakes in the world, one might welcome the fact it was 'only' a carpet python. One of those top 10 poisonous snakes is not unknown in Sydney, "Fast-moving, aggressive and known for their bad temper, eastern brown snakes, together with other browns are responsible for more deaths every year in Australia than any other group of snakes. Not only is their venom ranked as the second most toxic of any land snake in the world (based on tests on mice), they thrive in populated areas."

The weather report from the south, milder today a pleasant 28 degrees though the humidity is high. Sydney will be in the 30's for the rest of the week though my eyes will be downwards keeping an eye out for brown snakes. Any chance of you northerners sending some snow southwards.

Annie

Cool story.

I had an old girlfriend who lived in Australia for several years. She described it as "Texas with marsupials," which always made me laugh, because it was so conservative there (if memory serves, she lived in Hobart).

I love hearing about the insane animal life in Australia. Marsupials and monotremes and all those crazy snakes and spiders (Huntsman spiders are nightmare inducing things).

Pleasant weekend. Workday so far is extrmely chill. Snowing outside now, but I like snow, and I have nowhere I need to drive today. Sorry everyone's weather is so crazy.

Köffee please.

Good morning everyone. It's finally Friday. I am so ready for the weekend. It's been a trying week to say the least. My son did something stupid and he is going to have to pay for it. Thankfully he is ok just gonna hit him in the pocket. Just more stress for mom. I have some plans to take my littley to see the Wizard of Oz on the big screen on Sunday. She has not been to the movies yet so I believe this is perfect for her first time.
Miss Curvy I would love a cup of tea please. I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday.

Wow, your little one's first play and her first movie in the last couple months! And it's so cool she got to see a play before a movie.

The witch with the ball of fire scared me when I was a kid. I thought the flying monkies were cool a f.

Curves, you are a godsend, setting up big B for us. Köffee please. Gonna be a busy weekend.

Yes! I am not a mod here, but I think that lets the reader know simply and easily it is an email.
I don't think you need to explain it. It's pretty clear. Maybe add a subject line.
Absolutely. It would be an enjoyable conversation for sure.

Hello all, its sunny and 60 degrees here in the city by the Bay. I am celebrating today, as my story crossed the 3000 view threshold and I am pretty proud of that accomplishment with only my first story. For now, I am leaving my office and going to pick up my sister who is flying up from LA to spend the weekend and help me make wedding plans. Hope everyone here at the Honky Tonk continues to have a Tremendous Thursday......toodles!

Wedding plans? Are you getting married? Congrats!

An iced tea for me, and whatever the bride-to-be is having.
Waking up next to her. Without fail my favorite thing.
Man, this joint is crowded today.

Annie, nothing more exciting than buying a house. I lived in apartments for so many years, and was SO excited when I bought my first one. I greatly enjoy being a homeowner, puttering around fixing stuff, making little improvements.

Bill, I will wander over to the site the color of a lovely cloudless sky later today. Interesting premise. If I hadn't just told my parent's (again!) I would simply tell that story.

Adagio, once I start getting ideas for my own stories I will help with yours. Still fighting a block.

Sounds like, except for Annie (and assumedly Laura), everyone is cold a f. Cold here too.

Köffêè please.

I know this is a sex site and that many of the posters will say they find such a thing attractive. Ladies, I wanted you to know that there is at least one guy here that sees you as a living, breathing human being with hopes, dreams, fears, and not simply as a sex object for someone to ogle.

Finding camel toe, or anything else, a turn-on doesn't imply a man or woman is seeing you solely as a sex object. Women have countless facets, sexuality is merely one of them. Valuing it doesn't mean you value the other aspects of her less. Admiring the sexuality of a woman--as long as you are not being creepy about it--is not disrespectful. It's empowering.

This was very good. It makes Oceans 8 look like a joke.

Great cast, great acting. Great story. And very very dark.

I really wanted to see this. It was in theaters like a week!

Oh by the way...a huge Linda Ronstadt fan as well....I also had the honor of meeting her once, but that's a long story....one of the sexiest female singers ever

That is another great song of hers, Reese. Neil Young wrote it! And she is so hot in it.

Depends on the context. Yes, they can be VERY hot.
