I bit my tongue in 2020 when the Dems selected Brandon. He was the 2nd to last guy I wanted to vote for. I felt Bernie or Elizabeth Warren would represent MY DESIRES better than Biden - but they'd have been swamped by Trump.

Guess what I did.

The same thing I did in 1980, 84, 88, 2000, 2004, and 2016. I swallowed a bitter pill and a few times I regretted it. I've never voted for a Republican since I came to realize what they actually stand for. And if none of you revolutionists want to do the same thing, then maybe in January 2025 - we can see the new normal for America.

Hey, it's a freshstart.

I don't wanna live in 1950s/60s East Berlin, but maybe the rest of you are yearning for some of yesteryear, like the dude above me.

I once worked 4 tens for four days in a row. Then I got 3 days off. Then I worked 3 days at 10 hours and got four days off.

I hated that schedule, cuz none of my family nor friends had the same schedule - I was always the odd man out. Always felt sleep deprived. Of course, this occurred in my mid 30s. When I was off, none of my friends were.

4 Tens sucks as much as 4 Twelves sucks.

Management wants to push you to the edge when you can function just well enough to save them another $70k a year salary - by hiring another person to relieve you. And all the associated costs along with that.

Both the Democratic and Republican parties are at fault. But the blame for this Third World shit hole status falls squarely on the shoulders of “we the people“

Bullshit. Are you an agent of the GQP?

These tactics - employed ONLY by the Republican corporatists eager to build up capitalism at the expense of the middle and lower classes in America. Here's a glaring example from the early 1970s -- unfolded onto our society by a recent (as then) Supreme Court Justice (who went to lengths to disguise his true leanings during his Senate confirmation hearing).

If you can read the following and think you can come back to this thread and throw blame for the world today onto the backs of We The People - you are definitely working against we the people.

(...From Reagan’s inauguration speech in 1981 to this day, the single and consistent message heard, read, and seen on conservative media, from magazines to talk radio to Fox, is that government is the cause of our problems, not the solution. “Big government” is consistently—more consistently than any other meme or theme—said to be the very worst thing that could happen to America or its people, and after a few decades, many Americans came to believe it. Reagan scare-mongered from a presidential podium in 1986 that “the nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” )

Listen, thanks for this brain horror to keep me awake. Could have gone without that.

But further question, how did this thread shift from a fucked up birthing story to the LA housing crisis and responses? I feel like a bunch of posts were deleted. How did you get here?

The thread is Jeebus Fucking Keriste. The initial post brought attention to the horrible birthing experience, the next post referred to a housing crisis in LA...the next post can be anything outrageous which might elicit a gasp of - OHYMYFUCKINGGAWD -or- JeebusFuckingKeriste - whichever string of adjectives you prefer to present to the rest of us - some situation, past, present or peering down the road at the inevitable fuckeduppedness about to unveil itself.

Do we need an OMG font too?

Yanno Rowan...the fucked up part of this whole thing is...by the time you've lived (as an attentive adult) through the previous 15-20-25 years of your life...and the drive to procreate is diminishing for you (or you've seeded 2 to 3 to 5 children with your partner (and she's doing all the heavy lifting) -- you begin paying more attention to which party is fucking you over the most - half of your rebel yelling life is over. You've got another 20 to 30 years left to speak truth to power.

This works if you're a pink Caucasian and never works if you're in the minority.

Let's create a powerful 3rd party!! We can suck votes away from the better of two horrible candidates and end up with Donald Trump in 2016.

Or George W Bush in 2000.

Or Richard Nixon in 1972.

Then let the Democrats clean up their fucking problems in the next 2-3 years after America has voted against more of the same.

Let's work on changing the system when we don't have to worry about a Trump or a Reagan or a Bush or a Nixon winning a national election.

Instead of bitching about how impotent the Democrats ALWAYS SEEM TO BE. Ignore congress and the role of Republicans (think Newt Gingrich) in outcomes for the benefit of Americans.

Blame it on Democrats as a whole.

Lazy fucking thinking.

Has never worked in the last 70 years.

A third party then?

She is a progressive who is tired of being hoodwinked and she's vocal about it. She's just not ready to relinquish her desires from reality.

And the reality is, Trump (and when I say Trump, I'm referring to the criminal election thieving conglomerate) can 'win' in 2024 because people aren't happy with the 'progress' Biden - ie (Democrats) have made in the 3 years since Trump had the USA at the brink of all manner of horrible outcomes by November 2020.

I get her frustration. I was there in 1996, when I started hearing and paying some attention to Bill Clinton's issues. That lying motherfucker. Bob Dole - AND the GOP almost convinced me to vote against my best interests.

Bill talked so smoothly he had me totally convinced to join his brigade. Slick Willy - he had it in spades. How else does an almost 50 year old, white headed goofball from Arkansas convince an attractive 25 year old to start and continue sucking on his cock...was he paying her off with a prime career position?

No

He was quite glib and well practiced. I was almost metaphorically sucking his cock... and I liked the shit that spilled out of his mouth.

Oh fuck, I've outed myself.

For reference, it appears every single election I’ve been alive for has coincidentally been the most important election of our lifetime.

Hey, I got fooled listening to George HW Bush in 1989 and Obama in 2012. Both of them blew smoke up my ass and I voted for them instead of the guy who had 'some of my' best interests at heart.

Imagine voting for Mike Dukakis (a major league Democratic dipshit) and Mitt Romney - who blew his shit up with his leaked recording that made it to the internet before the election.

I should also mention that Bob Dole (Republican Senator running for President in 1996) also almost swayed me to vote for him. But since he was a republican who ALWAYS voted against the things/goals/desires of mine - I voted again for Bill.

Every election since John Fitzgerald Kennedy's 1960 election - has been the most important election AT THAT TIME.

Wake the fuck up. If you don't cast a vote for Brandon next year - you're gonna find out what real tyranny feels like.

She has about a dozen and a half good points I cannot refute. But the Democrats aren't the GQP or the Republicans who have supposedly 'quit' their former party. Vote however you wish. Use 2024 as a protest vote on your chosen candidate.

I wanted another old guy in 2020 as vice president and Elizabeth Warren as Prez. But, another THING got in the way of what I really wanted, so I had to settle for Biden.

I don't think many of you were alive the last time America had a decent Democratic President. But he was a hamstrung outsider who inherited the shambles of the Nixon/Ford regime.

Perhaps if Hillary had been elected in 2016, we'd be talking now about AOC or any handful of younger, more progressive individuals who would like a run at the top seats of power.

But...

Another THING got in the way of that personal desire.

So, I chose the lesser of 2 evils - by a large margin and cast a vote for Brandon. I shall again grit my teeth and vote sensibly instead of passionately, next November.

Trump's going to get swamped, even with all the gerrymandering and rat fucking tricks we're going to be exposed to.

https://hartmannreport.com/p/why-the-reagan-revolution-scheme

Under Joe Biden's leadership, the end of the Reagan Revolution is plainly in sight, if we can all just come together... There are more of us, then there are of them. MAGA won't cooperate, they wish bloodshed as their first alternative solution when people reject what they claim they want.

The GOP worked hard in the seventies and eighties to create this polarization... The italics are my comments --wmm

As we stand on the edge of the end of the Reagan Revolution, an end signaled by one particular phrase in President Biden‘s speech in early March (which I’ll get to in a minute), its really important that Americans understand the backstory.

Reagan and his conservative buddies intentionally gutted the American middle class, but they did so not just out of greed but also with what they thought was a good and noble justification. (You'll have to read the article to learn what the GOP of the 50s and 80s thought was so noble).

Reagan told us that the nine most frightening words in the English language were, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.”

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, billionaires associated with the Republicans built a massive infrastructure of think tanks and media outlets to promote and amplify this message.

It so completely swept America that by the 1990s even President Bill Clinton was saying things like, “The era of big government is over,” and “This is the end of welfare as we know it.” Limbaugh, Hannity and other right-wing radio talkers were getting millions a year in subsidies from groups like the Heritage Foundation. Fox News today carries on the tradition.

Which brings us to President Joe Biden’s speech.

Probably the most important thing he said in that speech was almost completely ignored by the mainstream American press. It certainly didn’t make a single headline, anywhere.

Yet President Biden said something that Presidents Clinton and Obama were absolutely unwilling to say, so deeply ingrained was the Reagan orthodoxy about the dangers of “big government” during their presidencies.

President Biden said, “We need to remember the government isn’t some foreign force in a distant capital. No, it’s us. All of us. We, the people.“

This was an all-out declaration of war on the underlying premise of the Reagan Revolution. And a full-throated embrace of the first three words of the Constitution, “We, the people.”

I can see the 14th Amendment being viable in this case if Trump had actually been convicted of a crime for instigating the January 6 Insurrection. While l am sure he did instigate it, l believe our justice system works best when a person is actually convicted of the crime before punishment can be executed.

He has yet to be convicted of any crime. Though l hope he will.

Colorado courts are just opening a can of worms that can backfire. Just as the party in control of the US Congress will be trying to impeach every sitting president from the opposition party from here on. Irresponsible precedent has been set.

Buz... The tit-for-tat repercussion syndrome you're speaking of - has already occurred. Bill Clinton was besieged for almost his entire 2 terms/8 years of being US President. I know you were probably in junior high school then and thus had the attention span of a dog in heat, but...

America was held back by Republicans consistently during Clintons 2nd term - especially.

You're begging me to make a post which spells out exactly how the Reagan Revolution doomed America to this current point in history. Dani is consistently comparing Democrats to Republicans as if it's even a rational thinking-persons end result.

Gimme a fucking break. Republicans are always trying to fuck everyone over and into the ground. So they can be the king of the hill and everyone else can take a knee and kiss their royal asses.

PS, Trump was landslided at the polls in 2020 by 10 million voters in the popular and by the same margin he defeated Hillary Clinton in the electoral. Then he lead an insurrection designed by fucking morons, enabled by morons and powered by morons. Fuck this guy with a red hot poker.

Some would say that the assasinations of JFK, MLK, RFK were examples of domestic terrorism.

The Hinckley shooting of Reagan was carried out by a single, chemically-deranged gunman (fueled by Valium) whose parents were long time friends of Reagan's vice president - George HW Bush (so I don't count that as terrorism - just another example of the Secret Service selectively allowing themselves to be used & misdirected. Hinckley should have never come within 300 yards of Reagan that day).

Some say that the Janet Reno directed destruction of the Waco compound of David Koresh was state sponsored terrorism, just as was the Ruby Ridge fiasco.

The Unabomber was another single, long running act of terrorism which stretched across a decade - definitely domestic in nature (and not state sponsored).

There is little doubt that the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995 was an act of domestic terrorism, although questions linger still as to which individuals escaped capture, while others insist it was pulled off by a pair of miscreants.

Millions of people feel that 9/11/2001 was also terrorism (but many are divided whether there was a domestic flavor sprinkled amongst the chaos of that Tuesday - as well as a foreign planned and executed day of terror) - while the first attack on the WTC in 1993 was not domestic in nature. (Building WTC7 which housed the records of various US agencies like the FBI, ATF, IRS and CIA, magically disintegrated several hours after the last twin tower collapsed).

January 6, 2021 was simply the latest act of domestic terrorism which captivated the attentions of millions of Americans who were going about their activities that afternoon - when the speakers/Trump surrogates - at the elipse urged thousands of MAGA to march to the capitol and FIGHT (trial by combat - Rudy Guiliani). There is zero doubt as to who instigated and caused the attempted coup de'tat that day, and it wasn't BLM, Antifa or any liberal flavored organizations.

https://www.csis.org/analysis/pushed-extremes-domestic-terrorism-amid-polarization-and-protest CSIS is a bi-partisan non-profit policy research organization and think tank. The below is a long read but goes deep in-depth.

The Issue

There has been a significant rise in the number of domestic terrorist attacks and plots at demonstrations in the United States, according to new CSIS data. The result is escalating violence in U.S. cities between extremists from opposing sides, a major break from historical trends. In 2021, over half of all domestic terrorist incidents occurred in the context of metropolitan demonstrations. In addition, the most frequent targets of attacks were government, military, and law enforcement agencies, who are increasingly at the center of domestic terrorism by extremists of all ideologies.

Let the republican-centric goon squad go to work. We should encourage them. They didn't have to face anyone except an overwhelmed Capitol Police squad. Hell, they didn't even have to deal with BLM or Antifa and their trial run at overthrowing the government fizzled out like a wet Trump ketchup fart.

This is still Biden's America and he's controlling the National Guard, the FBI the Secret Service and the ATF.

The goons are gonna do their goonery, under Biden or Trump - which would you rather deal with?

Full blown Nazism with brown shirts replacing all those government agencies from January 2025 onward? Or, over the next few years with no Trump as dictator calling the shots?

Rowan - that particular, miserable, old fool can probably still log onto Lush as a guest to read the havoc he thinks he's injected into this overwhelmingly, liberally tilted website. And he's just as impotent to respond here with his typed words - as he is in real life with grooming and gathering up his harem of submissive females.

It's helpful for younger people to actually know how the dominoes have fallen for the last 60 years and who has been throwing the switches in the background to control domestic and global events.

If the SCOTUS does not rebuke the Colorado ruling - look for the other 49 states to immediately file their own cases which replicate the Colorado Manuever.

2024 could really be entertaining in America.

So now you want the Vietnam war explained to you? As I understand it, the negotiations in Paris between the warring parties had broken down. Nixon nudged the North Vietnamese back to the negotiation table.

Quote by sprite

the means justifies the end, right? i mean, what's a few thousand lives? it really didn't change anything, despite what you might think. it was just an act of revenge.

LBJ was desperately trying to end the war in Vietnam in the spring and summer of 1968...being able to announce the end of fighting and the retreat of Americans out of country would've been a huge feather in the hat of LBJ's vice president (Hubert Humphrey) who was running against Nixon for the Presidency.

Nixon and his goons had other plans they were unveiling... They were successful with their treasonous efforts to steal the 1968 election and prolong the war (making the Democrats look inept) - this allowed Kissinger to come aboard Nixon's team of vipers and set the stage for millions more Vietnamese deaths and another 20,000 US troops dying.

https://hartmannreport.com/p/can-the-gop-be-stopped-from-defying-e5c?utm_

In 1968, for example, after tens of thousands of American deaths and millions of Vietnamese, President Lyndon Johnson had worked out a peace deal between the US, North Vietnam, and South Vietnam. His vice president, Hubert Humphrey, was running for president in the 1968 election against Richard Nixon, and announcing the peace deal in the fall of ’68 would almost certainly swing the election in Humphrey’s favor.

So Nixon went to work. He had his people reach out to the South Vietnamese officials and tell them that he’d make them rich if they’d just refuse to go along with LBJ’s peace deal. It worked.

The FBI had been wiretapping the Vietnamese and told LBJ about Nixon’s effort to prolong the Vietnam War. Thus, just three days before the 1968 election, Johnson phoned the Republican Senate leader, Everett Dirksen, (you can listen to the entire):

President Johnson: Some of our folks, including some of the old China lobby, are going to the Vietnamese embassy and saying please notify the [South Vietnamese] president that if he’ll hold out ’til November 2nd they could get a better deal. Now, I’m reading their hand. I don’t want to get this in the campaign. And they oughtn’t to be doin’ this, Everett. This is treason.

Sen. Dirksen: I know.

Those tapes were only released by the LBJ library in the past decade, and that’s Richard Nixon who Lyndon Johnson was accusing of treason.

At that point, for President Johnson, it was no longer about getting Humphrey elected. By then Nixon’s plan had already worked and Humphrey was being wiped out in the polls because the war was ongoing.

Instead, Johnson was desperately trying to salvage the peace talks to stop the death and carnage as soon as possible. He literally couldn’t sleep.

In a phone call to Nixon himself just before the election, LBJ begged him to stop sabotaging the peace process, noting that he was almost certainly going to win the election and inherit the war anyway. Instead, Nixon publicly said LBJ’s efforts were “in shambles.”

But South Vietnam had taken Nixon’s deal and boycotted the peace talks, the war continued, and Nixon won the White House thanks to it.

An additional twenty-two thousand American soldiers, and an additional million-plus Vietnamese died because of Nixon’s 1968 treason, and he left it to Jerry Ford to end the war and evacuate the American soldiers.

Nixon was never held to account for that treason, and when the LBJ library released the tapes and documentation long after his and LBJ’s deaths it was barely noticed by the American press.

Because Nixon got away with it, Reagan tried the same stunt, this time with Iran’s mullahs. His campaign — confirmed just this year by The New York Times — reached out to the Ayatollah and told him that if he’d hold the US hostages taken in the last year of Jimmy Carter’s presidency, he’d begin shipping weapons and spare parts to Iran as soon as he became president.

American soldiers died trying to rescue the hostages, but they were firmly held by Iran to meet the terms of Reagan’s deal; it was during Reagan’s swearing-in ceremony on January 20, 1981 that Iran released them, just as Reagan put his hand on the bible, to the minute.

Reagan and Nixon getting away with rigging elections inspired Texas Governor George W. and his brother, Florida Governor Jeb Bush. Jeb had his Secretary of State, Kathryn Harris, throw around 90,000 African Americans off the voting rolls and then, just for good measure, invented a new category of ballots for the 2000 election: “Spoiled.”

* (This article speaks to Republicans stealing elections and going from the back rooms full of cigar smoke to right out in the open stealing and rigging/gerrymandering) However, the minor history recollection about the end of that war is talked about truthfully for a change.

Here's my fave conspiracy theory about Biden's stolen laptop.

If it was Hunter Biden's laptop, then the owner of the repair shop has a duty and an obligation to secure the laptop so that nobody else can ever log onto the device (except the owner/technicians of the shop which agreed to work on the device). To secure the device so that nobody outside of the control of the computer repair shop can access a hard drive or SSD.

Anyone else viewing anything on a laptop which does not belong to them - is theft. Physically possessing the laptop (outside of the repair shop) is theft. The owner of the shop is guilty as an accessory to theft.

If, during the course of repair work, a technician accidentally spots visual evidence of any other serious crimes (child pornography/murder plans/accomplishments, etc...) - the shop isn't legally required to divulge such information, but if they do - they should report the existence of the criminal offenses to the law enforcement agency which covers the jurisdiction of the shop.

Somehow this magical laptop managed to be seen by a whole slew of thieves who have wished to use it as an anchor to drag down Joe Biden into a quagmire.

This laptop theft issue is no different than the Republicans at Veritas stealing Ashley Biden's diary. Now we need to prosecute the laptop thieves.

https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/florida-pair-plead-guilty-stealing-ashley-biden-diary-1234581819/

Hmmm...other sites and people seem to be in agreement with me - specifically Hunter and his attorney (for starters) along with a website populated by practicing lawyers. This is a hell of a read (below) which illuminates the criming that went into stealing Biden's laptop(s).

Remember, the owner of the computer repair shop is legally blind. How in the hell did he see the actual text of files inside folders he had no business snooping inside of in the first place? What is the actual chain of custody. And, there's more than one laptop (and hard drive) involved in this Ghouliani cooked up crock of amatuerish criming.

https://www.emptywheel.net/2023/12/17/john-paul-mac-isaacs-serial-inaccuracies-and-the-ablow-laptop/

A blind computer shop dude, magically sees and reads documents which he isn't supposed to be snooping on - but actually attempting to secure (for his customer)... and somehow the hard drive which the blind guy ( who didn't even clearly see the person who dropped off the laptops in question ) stole from the Mac he claimed belonged to Hunter Biden - that hard drive magically wound up in Rudy Ghouliani's possession.

GOP criming right out in the open - again.

Interesting how all of this connecting-evidence is being revealed now - 2 and 3 years after the fact. It's only being uncovered because the conspiracy to steal the 2021 election by the Republicans was so large and encompassed so many different, complicit conspirators - all taking direction from the White House and ultimately from Trump himself.

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/interior-watchdog-january-6-report_n_658081d0e4b036ecab461422

The group that organized the pro-Donald Trump rally in front of the White House on Jan. 6, 2021, knowingly misled government officials about plans for attendees to march on the U.S. Capitol, according to a new investigation from the Interior Department’s internal watchdog.

The report, published Monday by Interior’s Official of Inspector General, includes text messages from Kylie Kremer ― the rally’s organizer, and a representative of the group Women for America First ― and one potential event speaker. The Interior report does not name the individuals, but the exchange between Kremer and Mike Lindell, the MyPillow CEO and Trump ally, was previously made public by the House Jan. 6 select committee.

“This stays only between us, we are having a second stage at the Supreme Court again after the ellipse. POTUS is going to have us march there/the Capitol,” Kremer wrote to Lindell on Jan. 4. “It cannot get out about the second stage because people will try and set up another and Sabotage it. It can also not get out about the march because I will be in trouble with the national park service and all the agencies but the POTUS is going to just call for it ‘unexpectedly.’”

“If anyone tells you otherwise, it’s not accurate info,” she continued. “Only myself and [White House liaison] know full story of what is actually happening and we are having to appease many people by saying certain things.”

The report shines new light on how event organizers ultimately hamstrung federal agencies and law enforcement from better preparing for Jan. 6, when a violent pro-Trump mob descended on the U.S. Capitol in a failed attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

“This report adds important information and context to the historical record of the events leading up to and occurring on that day,” Interior Inspector General Mark Greenblatt said in a statement Monday.

======

The JFK and RFK assasinations as well as the cover-up of who was actually responsible for 9/11/2001 - were much tighter, leak-proof conspiracies - only involving a small number of truly powerful people pulling strings and creating magic bullets, single 'foreign looking' patsies and collapsing buildings (WTC 7) not hit by airplanes nor debris.

Because this was a Trump engineered coup de'tat - it was always bound to be a major clusterfuck that petered out before the National Guard could arrive and start ventilating MAGA patriots.

Yet another ANTIFA😈 rioter has been arrested in connection with the January 6th coup attempt. She had previously interned for Marco Rubio in 2018-19. Her resume' is littered with all the usual touchstones which the cagey anti-facists have adopted, so they could infiltrate the Proud Boys.

https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/miami-gop-strategist-barbara-balmaseda-accused-of-storming-us-capitol-18501993

As previously reported by New Times (see "Did Marco Rubio's Former Intern Storm the Capitol?"), Balmaseda interned for U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio between 2018 and 2019, worked as an organizer on Gov. Ron DeSantis' 2018 campaign, and served as campaign manager for Ileana Garcia's controversial 2020 Florida Senate race.

Balmaseda was also previously listed as director at-large on the website of Miami Young Republicans and served as regional director for Young Conservatives for Carbon Dividends, a self-described free-market climate advocacy campaign.

Her attorney, Aubrey Webb, tells New Times that a task force of FBI, U.S. Marshals, and Miami-Dade Police swarmed in to execute her arrest last week.

The FBI affidavit states that in the time leading up to the riot, Balmaseda created and frequented a group chat which included at least ten participants, including Gabriel Garcia and other Miami-area members of the far-right Proud Boys. Balmaseda, who at one point renamed the group chat "Barby’s Security smile" and "Barby’s Security Detail," sent roughly 900 messages to the group between November 2020 and January 2021.

On November 6, 2020, as the presidential race inched toward a conclusion, Balmaseda allegedly texted in the chat: “Y’all think Biden’s gonna steal this election?”

Three days later, after Garcia wrote in the group chat, "We are in La Carreta ready to fuck shit up again," Balmaseda responded, "I’ll get the popcorn ready to watch y’all fuck shit up," alongside a laughing emoji, according to the affidavit.

Tying up the loose ends in Michigan... Hard links and solid evidence are being mentioned by those accused in the Michigan fake electors scandal.

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2023/12/14/michigan-republican-party-chairwoman-laura-cox-testifies-false-donald-trump-electors-court-hearing/71912637007/

Lansing — Testifying in court Thursday, top Michigan Republicans linked the organization and execution of a false certificate saying Donald Trump won the state's 2020 presidential election directly to Trump's campaign.

While the Trump campaign has previously been tied to the overall strategy of crafting electoral certificates in seven battleground states, the testimony Thursday described campaign staffers as being involved in recruiting attendees and running the meeting of the false electors in Lansing on Dec. 14, 2020. During that gathering, 16 Republican activists signed a document that was used to claim the then-incumbent Republican president won Michigan's 16 electoral votes.

The revelations came on the second day of preliminary examinations for six of the Republican electors as Attorney General Dana Nessel's office pursues criminal forgery charges against those whose names appeared on the false certificate.
