I vote to give the writer feedback. I hink that they deserve to know if they have touched their readers. I vote high if the story makes me feel something, gets me horny, or makes me laugh and if it is well written. Two weeks ago I voted low (3) on a poem that I thought was horrible. The writer messaged me and wanted to know why I did that and he asked me for constructve criticism. I detailed in my reply all the reasons that I thought that the poem failed me. Then the writer sent me another message and chastised me for not understanding his writing and for chasing other readers away with my low score. I dont think he actually wanted constructive criticism afterall.
