Goodness, people getting heated over this. I write for fun and am overjoyed when people enjoy what I write. I would be extraordinarily flattered if I ever won something but I know there are so many more deserving than I. Bottom line is, write from your heart. Write for fun. Write for the enjoyment of writing. Write for the point of bringing others into your world and hope they enjoy the ride. Writing for rewards is not the point, or shouldn't be.
