Our router doesnt take cards, its quite fussy!
I dont quite understand what happened, people were kicked out of the room by a mod, and they could re-enter?
I did consider that, but I ran it through the Alan filter. It would then require a setting to disable this, or hide it at least.
The list is made up of friends with birthdays in the next 2 weeks (14 days).
Coming soon, send a virtual gift for your friends birhday!
Sorted, thanks for pointing this out.
I noticed on Sprites profile, it was taking ~40 seconds to load, is this normal, or this is just Sprite? She does have a lot of friends, this might explain things.
I've just lowered the requirement for this badge to a more reasonable 50,000. I think you'll find as the site gets more popular, these famous story badges will become more widespread.
@Sprite If you're in the market for some contraband story views, meet me in the pub. I have a friend of a friend who's trying to off load some.
Lol, whats the chances of that!
To all my American friends, its 11/11/11 not 11/11/11 ok!
You two are very astute!
When I was activating the badge generation for V2, I revised some of the requirements. With the sites increasing popularity, getting 30k views is really quite easy. I increaed this to 100k. This wont effect people who currently have the badge.
Mr Cat, I think I've solved your photo album issue. Care to try it out again for me, thanks.
Can you give me some specific examples where you have images giving you a 404 from an album please.
That's the way it used to work. There always was a high chance the story it picks would be a story, not everyones cup of tea. So, we respect what category you are currently in when picking a random story.
I guess now we can block categories, this might not be such an issue.
The Random Story button should be working again.
btw, if you already have a custom ordered list, you will need to make a change (of order) to one of your friends to activate this change.
Maybe Scooter is our MySpace Tom?
There's no limit imposed from the code. However, think things might slow down a fair bit with many thousands.
Ha! Reminds me of a line from that great british comedy, the thin blue line:
"Your cock-up? My arse"
Ok the friends list changes are up, happy friending.
Thanks for all your responses. To summarise:
Default behaviour:
On your profile page, your friends will be listed in date created order, the oldest appearing first. As new friends are added, these will be appended to the bottom of this list.
Your friends online page will be listed in alphabetical order, with a secondary sort on online status.
Custom behaviour:
If you choose a custom order for your friends, by dragging one or more into position, this order is respected on your profile and friends online pages. As new friends are added, they are appended to the end of this list.
At anytime you can "reset" the order back to the default behaviour.
Now to code it.....
Before I fix the issue with the ordering of your friends list, I thought I would just clarify *exactly* what's required here.
So your friends list natural order is date created, as new friends are added they *should* appear at the top of your friends list (on your profile page). Your personal friends list page, that you view to see who's online (from the top toolbar) is always listed in alphabetical, then online order.
When you re-order your friends from your settings page, this effects the order of your friends list on your profile page *only*. With this custom ordering, would you expect new friends that are added to appear at the top of the list, or the bottom (on your profile page)?
