It's quite a personal thing, so you might need to make several purchases before you find the one(s) she likes. Don't go with the cheap ones; they pretty much suck, although there are some gems in the lower price tiers.

There are so many excellent entries, already. I'm continually stunned at the what everyone else has produced.

It can be, but that's the exception, not the rule.

For me, this is a truism that I've accepted along with such things as water is wet, and, guys always want to cum on my ass. Some of my favorite, best-written works are received with yawns and disinterest while ones that I feel are lackluster get standing ovations. I think, at least in part, this is due to me, as a writer, taking note of things the readers don't care about. The typical reader doesn't care if I should have used a semi-colon instead of the em dash, or if I already used the phrase "rock-hard man flesh" two paragraphs ago. They want a compelling story that they can lose themselves in, that is well-written, flows like my pussy juice, and enthralls as much as it entertains. It's only natural that I'm focused on increasing my meager skills and turning a phrase better whilst my readers (thank you, I love you all 😊) want to read.
I have no control over what others think, but I'm more than grateful that a lot of my stuff is well-received. For the works that aren't, so be it.

Back to the topic, I tend to do my covers to reflect the mood and tone of my story. Given that people are visually oriented as well as intellectually stimulated, if my cover picture conveys the mood, tone, and setting decently, then they'll know, in an instant, if the story piques their interest. At least, I hope so. For example, my last three competition stories have vastly different moods, tones, and narrative voices: me in the first person going through an emotional time, a Hollywood-style rip-roaring adventure, and dark, abysmal noir.

Of course, I also sneak myself onto the occasional cover picture just to see if anyone notices (they don't)
