I am pleased to see all the positive responses. I originally started the topic thinking that as "pole dancing" is thought of as something strippers do, the men might object to their wives doing what strippers do.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I believe I will get a practice pole for home. The outfits they wear are seriously hot too! The exercise will be great..i have managed to lose more than 100lbs in the last 15 months or so and toning up my body will feel great! 47 isn't to old for this...right? and all the positive responses from the guys lead me to believe he will be similar in his response.

I am signing up to take pole dancing lessons. I haven't mentioned it to my husband yet. Not because I am worried about it, but because he works out of state and I feel that it is a conversation best held in person. I had the idea to do the classes as research for a series of stories that pole dancing will be prominently featured. I wanted to be able to accurately write about the subject. However, the more I looked into it, it looks like it could be a lot of fun! So guys, how would you feel if your partner wanted to take these classes?

As a wife I have this to say after reading all the posts, and noticing only 2 of the men picked up on this little fact. You cannot share that which you do not own. And if I remember my history correctly, ownership of one human by another, was abolished a long time ago.

Surrender the Night
White velvet petals, strewn upon a sea of grass
Inky night sky gives way
to the pale pinks and deep rose of morning.
Dew upon the petals, each drop
A glistening jewel, illuminated by that Golden orb.
Slow heat spreading as the Sun reaches its Peak.
Softly blowing breeze moans thru the trees
Volume increases, the crisis now past.
Evening Sky Surrenders to Dark
Crushed velvet petals softly perfume the night.
This is the 2nd poem I had submitted...
