Most of my stories are based on events in my life, and bring back vivid memories, so they always arouse me when writing about them. I find if the story does not turn me on, then why should I expect it to turn on my readers. So, I try to write in a way to create vivid images in the readers' minds, to create arousal in them. As I write in a style that I enjoy, it turns me on, and it is very rare for me to get away without being aroused, especially when proof-reading it.
I write in Mail-Compose, save as a draft. Revisit it several times to correct spelling and punctuation. Revisit it more times to read it carefully-you will always find more errors to correct.
Once I am satisfied, usually after about a week and multiple visits, I copy the text, then paste on Lush Stories in the Submit Story part. I then save it as draft, after adding header picture, and revisit it again after it is in the final format ready for editing by the moderator. Even at this stage, I still find minor errors, and a final reading out loud before hitting the "publish story" button usually leads to more changes or corrections.
I strongly recommend reading as many of the Writing Tips in the forum as possible, they are so helpful, and will save a lot of correcting for you and for the moderators. I have learned things about writing and especially about punctuation with dialogue that we never even covered in school.
