1. What first inspired you to write this particular story?

I was looking at the Island Getaway Competition and thinking about what I could write about. So I started thinking about my dream holiday: relaxing on a beach, reading a book, likely hiding from all social interaction if possible. Those were a little difficult to turn into an erotic story, however, then the idea of a tropical spa day came to mind.

I had wanted a slow, relaxing pace to match the tone of a relaxing holiday, and slowly the story came together.

2. How did you come up with these characters?

Once the concept had been decided, the first question that came to mind was, Why would my character go to the spa?' I didn't want it to be just another day in the holiday; I wanted a purpose. Slowly, the image of an overworked businesswoman came to life, along with her day at a Cretan spa.

3. How does it differ from some of your other stories?

The majority of my stories have BDSM/fetish elements within them; that's the niche which I enjoy reading and writing. However, this story lacks all of them and is a much more vanilla experience. The absence of kink allowed me to focus on the sensual side of things a little more. (That's not to say BDSM lacks sensuality – I just sometimes get caught up in other things.)

The change of pace was a welcome one that brought with it enjoyable challenges and lessons.

4. What was the most challenging thing about writing this piece?

The pacing was difficult. If I'm completely honest, I'm still not sure if I got it right, but I think I did as well as I can currently do. I wanted a slow gradual build-up that resembled waves on a beach, leading up to an eventual climax. However, I also didn't want to bore the readers on the way to the climax. Hopefully, I succeeded, but only time will tell.

5. Anything else you want to tell us about it?

I have a number of stories within my library that you might enjoy, and I am currently working on two new series. The first one is a fantasy series with all the typical weirdness you would expect in that genre. The second is a series about a horny art student that falls into a highly unprofessional relationship with her strict teacher.
