While you're here Gav, I am not sure which requests you've logged, but can you code into the new search, when your backlog is all gone:
- Ability to search within categories you are interested in (via checkboxes - all checked by default).
- Feature that allows search results to return multiple words ("ginger" and "Sprite") - not all those stories that contain either word.
- Allow words to be excluded ("Leather Fetish" -latex) - along the lines of google search.
- Search by as many keywords / tags as you wish, with the most relevant returns at the top (I'm sure that's an easy one
).

I've submitted four stories/poems so far. Usually it's within 24 hrs. Only one is within 48 hours, but that was during New Year holiday so a little bit slow is OK.

We try and empty the queue daily. Over the festive period, the queue hit 40 at one stage, which is hardly surprising.
That means that under any normal situation, you should have your story verified within 24 hours. If you get lucky and there are hardly any in the queue, and a lot of moderators around, you may see it appear in under 10 minutes.
We can't give an exact timeframe in other words

When the story queue is really high, I give instructions to all our verifiers, to be as intimidating as possible for a few weeks, it really cuts down on the submissions
But in all seriousness, nobody should really be intimidated posting here. It's an amateur site, meant for such, with the aim of helping those who wish to improve their craft.
I don't think too many people are put off, we process typically 30-40 stories per day.
(Btw, to the OP, "gorges" are ravines caused by river erosion. "Gorgeous" people are very attractive
