I just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday, and thank everyone who contributed to our community over the last year.

It's been quite the stinker to say the least!

The site has not only been a source of entertainment to many, but provided a great support network for thousands of people who are either lonely or who feel their voice isn't heard elsewhere.

To that end, we've achieved our goal, and I'm thankful to our regulars and in particular our Moderators, who've kept the place lively and ticking over.

The 2 versions of the site merging has not been without its difficulties, but we aim to iron those out next year. We are looking to emerge stronger and more responsive to the needs of those we serve next year.

Whatever you have planned for the Xmas break, either with our without loved ones in attendance, I hope you have a restful and peaceful time.

Be well, love each other, and take care.

Nicola x
No dis taken Kate!

I agree Citroen (I learned to drive in a Citroen Dyane - ever driven one?), the forums are unreadable on my iPhone. It's the other main area the site falls down on a mobile device.

Please remember the mobile site was rather abruptly closed and we weren't as prepared as we'd liked to have been.

And I want to add..... this is just tech and the result of coming from an experience designed for mobile devices to one designed for desktop. It’s not a reflection on the way anything is run here. I know I’m the worlds biggest whinger about chat at the moment but there are so many things that work well on the site, even in chat smile

John and Trinity are fab and have welcomed us all, helping to navigate whilst both using different tech has been fun :) everything here is so well organised that it has been easy to drop into. Kevin has been a friendly, welcoming face in the chatrooms and has helped us get through some confusions :)

Gav and Nicola have both been awesome helping to implement quick wins where improvements could be made easily and listening to understand what the bigger changes might be for future. We have two new rooms and a 30 person limit now, this seems to be going down well.

All of the mods I’ve spoken to have been lovely and holy schmoly getting through 50+ stories verified in a month is immense let alone 100! Watch out as I’m joining you in verification corner - too scared to pick up my first one at the moment tho!

I’ve made new friends on the site, it is a different experience but still the same basic desires to be here, to interact, to meet old friends and make new friends xxx

Hi Kate,

Thanks for all the feedback. Good and bad!

You are right, the chat rooms were primarily written originally with desktop users in mind. At the moment, they are not optimized for mobiles. We know that and are working on solutions.

I believe Gav is looking into either upgrading what we have as well as seeing what off the shelf chat packages are available. I'd love to have one which incorporates voice chat and video too, but I always like to shoot for the moon!

You've come from a platform which had a purpose built chat application costing hundreds of thousands of $ to develop over many years, with the input of half a dozen programmers. I think Gav wrote the core of ours part-time over the course of a month or so!

If you wish to discuss this further, it's probably best to chat either privately or in the mobile feedback thread!

Thanks again for all your help making the new folk feel at home

Cheers,

Nicola x

A friend of mine has the bambino and swears it's the best thing she's ever bought.

I'm leaning this way.

The price gougers at Amazon have marked the price £100 higher than it is at a local department store. Let me guess, after Xmas, there will be a £100 OFF!!!! big notice on it on the website. Grrr ... I'd rather buy local anyway.

Hopefully it will be reduced in the sales after Chrimbo so I can treat myself to a nice gift.
If it’s a personal story site using the Wordpress platform, that’s fine.

We don’t want people linking to any of our main competitors, which your site will definitely not be.

We’ve also had issues with cam girls / people trying to get customers of one kind or another, asking for money to write custom stories etc., so we are very careful to protect our membership.

Please PM me the link and I’ll take a look.
November was a transitional month for the site, and it was a huge group effort to ensure it ran as smoothly as possible during this time.

The chat moderators who needed to familiarize themselves with the different setup here did a great job.

There were some sterling efforts on the story verifying front, with Laura smashing the 100 mark in November, and Curvygalore, Evie, Saucymh, Tams_back_yay and el_henke taking care of processing 50+ stories each.

John has been expert with all the help desk queries as ever.

But for personally shepherding several hundred friends over to the site and ensuring they bedded in as comfortably as possible, I have to give the Moderator of the Month award for November, to Bluestars.

Thank you Kate for all your efforts.

I'll be in touch about your prize
You posted again before any of us had a chance to wish you a happy birthday Roger!

I have to say, that without a shadow of a doubt, the photographs you've posted to your friends this year, are some of the best I've ever seen (and I'm old!).

My father is a keen bird watcher / photographer, and I shared some of your photos with him. He was in awe. I have never seen any as crystal clear and brilliant as yours.

It's time for a name change. Forget the farming, you shall henceforth be named, Photographerroger.

Say the word and I will make it so!
Would anyone care to do us a favour and improve our average review score on this site please?

https://trustpilot.com/review/www.lushstories.com

There was one disgruntled person from Japan gave us a 1, but the other 2 reviews / ratings are positive.

Every bit helps!

It's raining where I am in the UK, and freezing, literally!

Time for a hot bowl of soup and to warm my hands.
Having seen the size of the bean to cup machines, I decided to instead look at traditional espresso machines.

The 3 contenders in the frame are the Delonghi Magnifica, Sage Duo Temp and Sage Bambino Plus.

The Delonghi looks nice but I've heard they use cheap components and are prone to failing. Sage machines are higher end and should last a decade if treated well. The Bambino Plus would be the first choice but at £399, I don't know if I can stretch that far.

Mind you, if you drink 3 coffees a day with Nespresso pods, and have friends over a fair bit, that's the financial cost of around 1000 pods p.a., not to mention the environmental costs.

To put that into perspective: Firenze Arpeggio £0.36 x 150 = £54.00 (my last order). So £300 p.a. on pods alone (USD$400!). Yikes!

I'll decide which one in the post Xmas sales. The Bambino is fully automatic and a smaller footprint so I'm leaning that way:

https://www.johnlewis.com/sage-the-duo-temp-pro-espresso-coffee-machine/p1749201 £299.

https://www.johnlewis.com/sage-ses500bss-bambino-plus-coffee-machine-silver/p3779133 £399.

Any other recommendations sub £400?
Well if this thread has anything to go by, the competition entries should be marvellous!

Nothing screams homely than a giant horse sized dildo lamp.

The latest posts remind me of the great line by Ru Paul after a big night’s celebrations:

Interviewer: “How’s the head?”

Ru Paul: “No complaints so far.”

I’ve been on the wagon this week. Not feeling so well, but it’s nothing more than having a cold and being run down.

I did manage to get up a new competition though. We’re looking for some filthy reads over the holiday season.

https://www.lushstories.com/competitions/debauched.aspx

Basic premise - you get one wish to fulfill your darkest fantasies and 24 hours to do it in. Time is of the essence!

We are looking for sharp and crisp writing so it’s kept to a Scrooge like 3,500 maximum word count.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.
Debauched Competition

It's the time of year where wishes are made for life changing events and fantasies to eventuate.

What would be your ultimate sexual fantasy if you had a whole day to fulfill it? What sort of debauchery can you conjure up in your mind's eye?

Competition Theme

For this competition, imagine you are granted one wish (from Santa, a genie or alien!) and 24 hours in which it happens.

We want to read stories of depraved orgies, taking your body to the limits or trying new things. The theme leaves scope for you to conjure up futuristic stories of the impossible becoming possible.

Or maybe over the course of 24 hours, you finally hatch the plan to seduce someone you've had your eye on for an eternity and they turn out to be the filthiest lay you've ever had?

Time is a central theme for this competition, so to make it challenging and force the pace, we are restricting stories to a maximum of 3,500 words.

Full prize and deadline details may be found here.

Hi it’s stantheman
Disappointed that the mobile site is closed.
Would’ve been nice to have a bit of warning.
Anyway, any of my friends want to get in touch. I’m here!

I posted a forum message a month ago.

I guess you didn’t read it.
There were some superb stories in this competition. Many of them made our judges and I laugh out loud in places.

Taking out the top spot for the second competition running, is Deviantsusie, with the excellent "Teenage Banshee".

Both Rach and NaughtyAnnie wrote very entertaining stories, in vastly differing ways!

Here are the results:

Teenage Banshee, by deviantsusie.
Tick Tock, by sprite.
The Legend Of Adam's Yew, by naughtyannie.

Making up the remainder of the Top 10, are these great entries:

The Emerald Lagoon, by Kee.
Light Up The Darkness, by techgoddess.
The Marshes Of Avalon, by TheShyThespian.
Rituals or Moan Scream Die, by vanessa26.
Sphinx, by Piquet.
Willow, by KimmiBeGood.
We Women Will Ride, by CuriousAnnie.

Thank you to our readers for voting and commenting on the stories. A big thank you to all the writers who took the time to write stories for this competition, and to our judges, who helped me whittle down the winners.

A new competition will be announced shortly.

I'll be awarding EP's and RR's today, as well as contacting the winners about their prizes.

Cheers,

Nicola
He slacks off occasionally (when fishing), but other than that, I really couldn't ask for more from this month's winner of the M.O.T.M. award.

In fact he should have more time off chilling out by the river.

Hopefully he spends his $100 prize on some tackle and a few light ales.

Congratulations SimplyJohn. You are simply fantastic with the help desk and chat rooms.
Heartfelt condolences to you Bill for your loss.

I hope you are able to share your grief with others close by.
With the mobile site merging with this one, we are fortunate to have some good people joining our chat mod team.

This will give us a lot more coverage for various time zones and at busy times.

If you need support in the chat rooms, feel free to contact any of our additional moderators who will endeavour to help you out:

Bluestars

Buda

Ardentmale

Silkmoth

The_reader94

Please make them feel welcome!
The mobile version of the site, m.lushstories.com will close on 22 November.

When it happens, all traffic will be redirected back to this site; www.lushstories.com.

As they are 2 mostly independent sites, your login details on the mobile site, will not work here.

To access this site, you need to use this link: https://www.lushstories.com/forgotten-password.aspx and enter the email address you used to sign up with.

That email address is linked to your username.

The new password you will be sent, will only work on the desktop site.

If you have any difficulties, please log a support request via our contact page.

Thank you.

To be serious (unlike me) you have likely done this Nic but I goggled:

Which did a report just last month but I am not a member to view.

and top ten article:

Gaggia Brera Bean to Cup Coffee Machine. ...
De'Longhi Eletta ECAM 44.660. B.
Miele CM6150.
Sage BES980BSS.
Melitta Barista TS SMART.
Jura E8.
Morphy Richards Evoke Grind & Brew 162100.
Melitta SOLO & Perfect Milk.

Yes, out of all the reviews I've gone through so far, this is the best value: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DeLonghi-Magnifica-ESAM-4200-S-Silver/dp/B001EOMZ5E/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=dailyespresso-21&linkId=2fbc0306390302a434c16d71d201c57b&language=en_GB&th=1

De'Longhi seem to still make some of the best machines in the business.
