First and foremost, make sure you read all general contest rules...and also pay attention to the rules regarding this contest in particular (there are certain words and metaphors and such not allowed for this contest).

In regards to voting, you need 10 to qualify you in the contest. Meaning once your story gains at least 10 votes, it's officially in the running, and will be judged by our super secret contest panel, the SSCP, if you will.

Also, voting is anonymous. You won't see who votes or how many votes you have (I could be wrong about how many, so maybe someone could confirm this).

That's really it in terms of voting. Good luck!

Thank you. I read both sets of rules, I was just curious about the voting and whatnot. smile

For our poetry lovers, comes a competition just for you. There's a $100 1st Prize up for grabs, and a challenging deadline of 2 weeks in which to enter.

Competition Theme:

St. Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14 each year. It is an occasion in which lovers express their love for each other.

Writing a poem for a loved one, has always traditionally been a popular medium in which people articulate their feelings for each other.

Breaking with tradition, as we like to do, as an additional challenge to our authors, you need to show your linguistic ability by expressing the emotion of love, in a way which isn't cliche!

With that in mind, certain rules need to be adhered to:

- Poems must not use the words, "love", "rose", "stars", "ocean" or "heart".

- Poems must include the word, "Valentine".

Full details here.

This is my first competition, would you mind telling me how it works? Votes and whatnot? (I posted on the forum in case others wondered the same.)

Thanks!
Always has something nice to say...must be a Scottish thing. ;)

Ps. I love Scotts...ie: Gerald Butler. Mmm

On my laptop, I copy the story/poem over to notepad, then copy from there into the Lush edit box. Of course, italics and such need to be re-applied. For Mac OS, I've been told that pasting into TextEdit, pressing Cmd+Shift+T, then copying from there to Lush should also preserve spacing.

Edit: key combination corrected.

Thank you Chrissie! This is the first time I've come across this issue..now I know what to do if it happens again. smile

This going to sound crazy and is tedious, but if you remove all the line breaks and spaces in edit mode and then put them back where you want them it should work when you press submit.

Thank you for the tip! I was on my laptop and I was about ready to throw it out the window. :/ no bueno.
(Hehe)

*clears throat*

I'm having issues submitting my poem the way I wrote it. The spacing I made in the layout goes away after I click "submit". I edited and fixed the issue several times before throwing my hands up and giving up on it. Is this a common bug? Can anyone give me advice on the matter?

Also, I hope my poem I submitted doesn't get rejected because of the issue I can't fix! That would make me a sad panda. (Sadface)
I couldn't even finish Anchorman. And I love Will Farrell. Dumb and Dumberer was stupid too. Umm Knowing with Nicholas Cage was a let down too. :/
I'm working on my first novel; "Confessions of a Nymphomaniac". It's about a girl, Amelia (Mia), and her struggle with nymphomania. She meets Daniel and reluctantly falls in love, she wants to tell him her secret, but is afraid of his reaction. Will he understand? Will he be turned on? Or will he run for the hills? I hope it turns out the way I'm hoping..hah
My hubby had a vasectomy this past June, and our sex life is just as good or even better. (We have sex at least once a day usually twice or more) He says be hasn't noticed a difference...so the sensation and cum is the same really.

Anything, as long as it's not a picture of your dangly bits.

Daenerys, Mother of Dragons, hands down, best character ever. EVER. EVER.

haven't read the books - my prediction for next season - someone i like is going to die in an awful way and i will learn to hate Joffrey even more than i thought possible, which happens every single time he shows up and does or says anything, or simply exists.

Pretty much!!!!^
I have the books and watch the series too.....Love it.
I've met quite a few professional athletes, I'm really good friends with a professional wake surfer..

I seen Fabio in Vegas. Haha that's about it.
The first time was an accident. We were going at it doggie style and he plowed into the wrong hole..ever since hubby has been addicted to my ass and I give in once in a while..sometimes it is enjoyable and I cum. But I'm usually too uptight because I hate the thought of it. I'll get over it one day.

I have caught my hubby, and he got embarassed the first time, until I told him I like watching him stroke himself and asked him continue but told him not to cum, I wanted to suck it from him. Now he does it so I will catch him and I never mind...and when I am at work he will send me little video clips of him doing it and I know when I get home it will be a good night...hell no I don't consider it cheating, no matter what he is stroking too...that would be totally hyprocrital since I do it all the time.

Same. smile
Hubby sends me a video once in a while because he knows I LOVE IT..

I've caught him like once or twice but I wouldn't call it that. Neither of us was shocked..it was just a prelude to sex haha. I used to feel betrayed about the thought of him masterbating, but I grew up and so has he.
I usually keep it trimmed. I'll shave once in a while and give hubby a treat. I've never waxed, but I've wanted to try it.
