Good morning Curvy and friends. Pouring a cup of this delightful tea for myself. Anyone else care for some? And since the brownies are so conveniently placed, I will indulge in half of one. Just seeing that Florida is now in the cone of possibility of the track of Tropical Storm Dorian. Totally prepared, but it would be nice if it turned or dissipated before getting here. Of course I have a friend coming down to visit Thursday night...and beach time is looking questionable. Ah well...

Never smoked...doc told me when I was 10 that if I wanted to live past my 20s, that I should never smoke because my lungs wouldn't handle it. The image of the cat attacking the bird is really heartbreaking. I used to see crows go after ducklings when I lived on a lake. Nature can be brutal. If it's out of control, things have to be done. It doesn't seem to be the case here in Florida, nor do we have coyotes and such things, which is what makes this conversation so interesting.
Edit: oops I lied. If you live near a lake, the gators have generally been known to eat small mammals like cats and dogs. Those who live there typically learn this quickly though.
I live in Florida on the Gulf and while I have seen any here, I have seen reports from a few beaches south of me that they have seen coyotes. There also seems to be a new “we lost our cat” post daily from that area. One would think people would keep better track of their cars if they have coyotes in the area. I’m starting to think I might be one of the few responsible cat owners around here.
Interestingly enough, Ping, our cat did not need to be licensed in Michigan, but it is required in Florida. She is not chipped or tattooed because she is strictly an indoor cat. Well since we’ve moved here she goes out on our porch balcony. But it’s third floor and all she really likes to do out there is lay on the couch and watch birds. She’s old and a little lazy and happy to just lay in the sun. Lol.
I’m ready for some lemonade if we have any on hand.

Good morning Curvy and all! I’d love some tea and I will have a brownie as well. There should be plenty as I dropped off that huge batch the other day. If not I can get baking again later. Might as well bake ‘em and bring ‘em sooner than later as next week my kitchen will torn up a bit. Getting new countertops and a new sink. One of the last big projects for awhile. Been here on the beach a full year now full time. Feels good to have the renovations nearly done. My cat will be happy to be done with strangers in her home. She is bipolar (an actual diagnosis) and doesn’t always like me let alone people she doesn’t know.

I have a kitty that I rescued almost 14 years ago. She is bipolar and needs to be the only pet in the house. I’m really the only person she likes. She’s a beautiful gray cat with green eyes. She’s keeps me company when my man travels which is every week. She has no claws but she packs a mean punch.
