Just a cup of tea this morning. I have laundry and other nonsense to catch up on after being out of town again this past weekend. It was lovely catching up with friends who I consider family. Some of whom I've not seen in over two years.

Congrats to WWW, Jaymal, and Tams for their top 3 places in the competition. And to the rest of the top 10. I am proud to be on that list.

I also have a story in the comp on the blue site if anyone is interested. It's called I'm Still Alive and it is a true story.

Have a great Monday, all y'all!

Congrats to the top 3 and the rest of the wonderful stories rounding out the top 10. I am honored to be among them.

Cheers!
I would love a glass of Moscato. I've spent the better part of the day editing stories and my eyes are a little buggy. I did start a story for the clean site's comp. Whether or not I can complete it in time is another story.

I have started working with a new trainer at the gym and SHE is kicking my ass, literally! LOL! I'm done with the flaky young male trainers (sorry guys) who have vanished and not bothered to respond to my texts. I have a woman my age training me now and she means business!

Elyse, I have had comments disappear and found out later it was because, as Grace said, they deleted their accounts. Don't take it to heart. Your comp story was very well done. It's not easy to put yourself out there, but you did and you did it in a BIG way!

I still don't have my car back after the accident. The dealership called me yesterday and said the rear quarter panel was shipped and should be there today. After that, he said, give him a week and my car should be done. Fingers crossed.

Hope all y'all are having a good day. I'm off to make garlic chicken breast and rotini!
Good Lord! You are absolutely amazing! Here I was all excited that I am creeping closer to 2 million views and here you are with nearly seven times that! Fabulous!!

Just a quick hello as I take a break from my laundry. Vacation was fun, but I slept better last night than I have in days! There is nothing like your own bed (at least for sleeping...lol).

Being able to celebrate my son's birthday on Saturday and have both of my daughters there was the icing on the cake...quite literally! It was a great way to top off our trip!

Just a cuppa tea, please, and thanks! The dryer just buzzed. Sigh...

Good evening, all. Another Fried Egg, I mean Friday, has slipped by. Been kind of grey and cool here but at least the rain is over. And it's the weekend.

No cake stories, but my son once asked for Santa to bring a Christmas song book and there was one specific song he wanted to be in it. And do you think I could find one that had that song? Ended up making it myself (Google'd lyrics for a bunch of songs, found suitable clip art, used MS Publisher to do the layout since I had it installed for editing a church newsletter).

A Moscato, please. Time to kick back for a bit.

What an awesome dad! OMG I just love that you did all that for your son.

I will join you in a Moscato. I am celebrating! Her flight was delayed 3 hours, but I got to hug my “baby” girl and feed her pizza before we head to bed. Tomorrow our task is to help my son’s wife to pull off a surprise. The biggest surprise for me will be if the oldest daughter shows up on time for the surprise. Finger crossed that my three kids can all have fun at this gathering and not create some sort of drama with each other. Lol!

Cheers!

Good morning!

I've been busy baking. It's my eldest's 12th birthday today! Having a small party at my MIL's after school later, and I have to get this whopper of a cake there!

2 tiers of madeira, and half of a giant cake pop, covered with over 2kg of fondant. It's been a struggle with the humidity, and heat so there was a point when the buttercream begun melting beneath the icing. Also I bought a figure which was nearly as tall as the cake, so I had to make a quick figure instead.

I might get around to doing some writing now.

OMG that cake is amazing! I remember when my kids were little and I used to make them all kinds of fun cakes. Rainbow Fish, Nemo, Blue’s Clues, Harry Potter, etc. I even created a football field cake for one of my son’s friends. Such fun memories!

This is sure to be a huge hit!

TGIF all y’all. Headed north this afternoon and 12 hours from now I will be picking up my youngest for the airport. I haven’t seen her since April (I know, not that long ago, but she’s my baby. Even at 25!).

I published another part to Mac & Grace’s story as well as collaborating with LilCoffeeLuvr111’s The Voice and The Voice 2. I’ve been kicking around an idea for the blue site comp. not sure if I will have enough time.

Have a great start to the weekend!

Hugs!

I forgot you live close to the coast. A bit embarrassed I forgot tbh. Glad you came out okay. It did a little number on my island.

Sorry about your island.

I actually live right on the coast on a barrier island. The Gulf of Mexico is my backyard.

Hope you and yours are safe.
Just stopping in for a quick hello! I'm still on my trip with hubby who was kind enough to give me some downtime, allowing me to finish reading and voting on all of the remaining comp stories. There are some incredibly well-written pieces in this competition. Not to mention, I learned a few new things along the way.

I'm looking forward to Saturday. All three of my children will be in one place! A rare occasion, but one that makes my heart happy. My lovely new daughter-in-law is throwing a surprise birthday party for my son. My oldest girl will be there and my youngest is flying up to be there as well. I'm giddy!

I'd love a cuppa tea to go please and thanks!

I hope all y'all are doing well.

Oh, and thanks to all who checked in on me during TS/Hurricane Elsa. Ironically, I missed it by being on vacation in Georgia. But it warmed my heart to know that people had me in their thoughts.
Looks like we picked a good week to get the hell out of Dodge. The plan was to avoid Tampa area HS Beach Week, but looks like we are going to miss TS Elsa when she comes to the sunshine state.

Looks like I will have a good chunk of time to catch up on some reading. I will start with the other comp stories and then check out my reading queue. Thanks to all y’all who have read my story about a Southern Baptist Virgin who discovers her inner kinky submissive self in exactly 2500 words. Lol!

TGIF all y’all. I’m on my way to Georgia to a secluded cabin near the mountains. Not sure why I packed all these clothes. Probably not gonna need them. ;)

Happy Canada Day to all of my Canadian friends and family. I look forward to the day when I can visit my family members across the northern border again.

Yummy food James!! Thank you! I am growing quite fond of polar bears...

Hi, Carlton! I feel ya ... rain and storms moving in here today. I will read your latest story today!!

Hi everybody else coming and going.

I may take a bottle of wine to go... Family Night Open House at Mom's memory care place tonight. A new male resident has moved in and Mom's decided he's her husband and my dad is her father. I am worried about this man's family's reaction when they see Mom holding his hand. Dad's taking it pretty well. We all just want her as happy as she can be.

So .... taking the wine ... put it on ... hmmm, let's see ... Ping's tab!!!

Just stopping in to say a quick hello!

Kimmi, I remember one night when my mom was still alive and still living in her home, that I went to stay with her so my dad could go to one of his band gigs. When he left, she asked if I noticed the difference. I was lost, so I asked what she meant. Long story short, she said that my dad was her new husband and that he looked just like the old husband, but she thought for sure I would be able to tell the difference because I was so close with my dad. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She told me this new husband was very nice and patient with her. So I just smiled and told her that was all that mattered. HUGS!!

I could use a drink...and I'm happy to put it on Ping's tab!

mine are yellow. smile thank you. i was a little blown away seeing that thread the other day. unexpected and sweet and I'm really feeling all the love. what should be mentioned is that what i gave, i get back. from this place and from everyone here. the love, the advice, the shoulder to cry on, the spark of creativity. it's one of the reasons I'm here after 11 years still. it's not really a writing site, it's a really huge (and sometimes dysfunctional lol) family.

But we put the FUN in dysFUNctional!

Kat, not sure it helps much but I've been praying for you and your family.
You've all had a rotten time of it and been given a terrible shock.
Sending loving thoughts and caring hugs to help you through it.

Thanks so much! It does help. It also helps to remind myself that bruises fade, sore backs heal, and cars can be fixed. Had the other car rolled all the way, I'd have been crushed. So, yes prayers help, because I said a quick prayer as the accident was happening, asking God to spare my life (the whole, I'm not ready to go yet...) and the minivan stopped inches from my door. Now I just need some way to move out of my funk. You're so kind to be so caring!

So happy for Rachel (Sprite) for being recognized with a lifetime achievement award. It's always so nice to receive recognition and it's well deserved.

A cuppa tea with a hit of honey and whiskey might be just what I need this morning...just sayin'
Just stopping in for a quick vodka lemonade and to say thanks to all y'all who have been asking how I am after the accident. I have a few bruises, and my back is a lil sore, but otherwise, I'm doing okay. Better than my car, anyway.

Having my son's best friend as a house guest has been a welcome distraction.
Is it too early for something alcoholic? Just exhausted emotionally from being in a car accident which left us fine but the back end of my car demolished. Short version: the woman in front of us stopped (for reasons that are vague). Hubby stopped in plenty of time. The woman behind us could not, so she swerved into the next lane where she was hit and it flipped her minivan which then took our back end. The fact that no one was injured is a miracle. I’m so grateful for that. But frustrated that the woman whose car flipped tried to say the accident was our fault. Fortunately many eyewitnesses supported our version of the story and the police agreed based on the evidence at the scene. Of course we were on our way to the airport to pick up my son’s best friend who is staying with us for 5 days. I got a cab, went home, grabbed hubby’s car, picked him up from the scene which was cleared by then and we still made it to the airport only a half hour after he landed. The cab driver who took me home managed to calm me down on the ride to my house and I told him he was more than a cab driver. He just smiled. I am pretty sure he was an angel or at the very least an empath.

This morning I have to deal with all of the rigmarole and my brain is saying UGH! Lol.

Hope all y’all are having a decent day. Hugs for all who need ‘em even more than I do!

Curvy, I wonder if James has read your Tobias series? ;)
Thanks, Gav, for everything you’ve done over the years to make this site the best of its kind. You totally rock!

If only it were that simple, as I said, cause the thing I'm most turned on by is one that has a lot of surrounding it. It's actually a very common kink, but it's also not something that actually should be.

People find out you have this kink and they assume you're some kind of pervert.

You do know that there is a category, right?

And, again, if someone would assume you are some kind of pervert...what are they doing on a sex story site?

If you want to send me an email about it and get my opinion, I'd be happy to do that for you.

That awkward moment when you realize you're too afraid of being judged to write the story you actually want to write.

I...I really don't want people to think there's something wrong with me because of my taste in erotica.

Never EVER be afraid to write the story you actually want to write! I wrote the first part of The Office Whore and let it sit on my flash drive for MONTHS before I was brave enough to submit it. I was so sure I would be judged as a freak for the whole Base 12 Slut Manual and the fact that this girl was hired to satisfy the boss's kinky needs. Once I finally decided to say "fuck it, this is a site that has stories that are likely way more perverse than mine" I submitted it and people LOVED it. The first two parts of the story have had over 16K views each and every time I have tried to wrap up the story, readers have encouraged me to keep their story going. There are 51 parts published! And while more recent parts have far fewer views, people still tell me how much they enjoy the characters and the story.

I have MANY stories that are "out there" and not everyone shares my taste in what's hot or what's not. But that's the beauty of Lush, there is something for everyone.

YOU DO YOU, and don't worry about the naysayers. Besides, your biggest critic lives inside your head. I know this because I suffer the same plight. I was sure people would think I was a freaky masochist when I wrote my Dark Needs stories. I was even more sure when I wrote things like Becoming Submissive and Monster Slave. And don't even get me started on how debauched and raunchy the Hot Wife Hotel series has gotten. I've written some incredibly bizarre stuff and I've written erotic love stories (The Last Escort and Amazing Grace). So I'm sure people assume that I am being whipped and having gang bangs daily while being loved and pampered. LOL!

You're allowed to have a freaky, wild imagination. Not everything I write about is something I would do personally. But even if it were, so what?!

My point is, let your freak flag fly, Elyse! If someone could judge you for writing an erotica story on an erotica story site, then what the hell are they doing here anyway?

HUGS to you! BE YOURSELF and remember how many friends you have here that will support you!

I'll have a cuppa tea please and thank you. Put it on KaliLeigh's tab...thanks (and welcome back)!
