Thank you so much for the shout out James. Let me buy you a Jamesons.

I wonder, as a fan of Irish whiskey, if you've ever tried Bushmills?

From the oldest licensed distillery in the world. It's mellower than Jameson's but well worth it.

Yes, of course I've drunk Bushmills - and I was aware of the august status of it's product. And I will happily swill Bushmills any time it's available, I just slightly prefer Jameson's. No more reason than that.

So, thank you, either way!

My dad used to make his own whisky. You would not believe the time and love he put into it. All the ingredients were hand picked. The vintage oak barrel had to be just so. Every last detail was timed to absolute perfection. It still tasted shit thought.

As I'm unsure how to properly construct a story, I just imagine I'm in it and base the story around how I believe I would feel. It really is the only way I know how to write and it seems to work for me.

I can't believe I got 80 votes. I think you and I should pop into storeroom 3 for a bit of lady love.

And 9.5k+ reads on a micro!

I think I better wait till my numb mouth goes away, but after that it's a date heart biggrin <3

Thank you for the like James. I thought I'd gone invisible or upset someone

The only way you could upset me, Lady Verity, is to become invisible! Welcome, dear girl. What can I get you?
A large G&T for me and Kistin. Easy on the T.

Thank you for the like James. I thought I'd gone invisible or upset someone

Nobody has the authority to say what is and what isn't poetry. To do so is the height of presumptuousness.

And yet my 300-word piece about a passionate one-day online affair is judged neither a love poem nor an erotic poem. I doubt that I will ever submit anything again. When you’re told twice you’re not good enough, it’s time to leave.

I was told I wasn't good enough five or six times. Probably because I'm not. It doesn't stop me though. I keep plugging away until I get it right. One of my stories was so tame I was sent over to the sister site. So far I've managed to write thirty-four stories over there, it's great. To be honest, after reading a few of the stories on here I'm surprised they accept any of mine. I think I have only used the "F" word once in over forty stories on Lush. If I do write something that I think is too naughty for me, I give it to someone else and ask them not to mention me. So don't give up, just keep plugging away. Regards, Verity

After getting emails again, I haven't seen one for 5 days. My last micro was posted without any notice to me at all. I hope that hasn't just been discontinued, as I always like to thank the mod involved.
I also like to thank the mod's, but don't receive notification anymore. I also don't know that someone has commented on one of my scribbles and so have to check each and every story daily. The only thing I'm told about is "Likes."

Just a question really. Are we going to get the notifications to followers back. I really cant see the point of following someone if I'm not told when they put out a new story. I'm not even told when a story of mine has been published. I just see it on the homepage. Thank you. Regards, Verity

Don't give up,  Keep writing and be prepared to admit,  even if only to yourself, that a piece isn't working out and needs to be put back in the drawer. Sometimes the bones of that work can be recycled and sometimes it's enough to know you reached for the stars and touched a light  bulb instead. Such is life and such is art.

I have about thirty or so stories and poems that sounded like the next best thing when I started writing them. As soon as I lose my way I leave them and start another one. It doesn’t matter though as I am an absolute genius.

Sorry I have to go now, my nurse has just realised I'm out of bed again. “Yes nurse, I took my medication.”

I just had a similar problem trying to open the site in Safari.  Entering “www.lushstories.com/home”, as suggested above, corrected the problem.

You can also copy the address bar and paste it in Word or Notepad or whatever you use. Then just paste it back in or in Word, click the link.

can anyone tell me how to send a friend request now? lol where's that damn instruction manual you promised me, James! It's been a whole day, ya know! ;)

The word + Friend with a black plus is on the person's profile. Click it and an automatic friend request is sent.

Wishing everyone a great weekend. A cold glass of lemonade would be appreciated.

you are awesome. thanks!

Easy, just go to their profile page and press the big + sign. I just did it to you. No need to accept of course, I was just showing how easy it was. Regards, Verity

I believe this happens about once a day: I go to lush and I get the "well this is embarrassing..." website crash page. I then have to go into Safari's privacy preferences and remove all local storage for lushstories.com and then the website works and I have to log in again. That works until the next day. This happens on both desktop and mobile Safari.

I found a quick fix for that. It you go to the address bar at the top of whatever browser you're using and add /home so it looks like this www.lushstories.com/home

It takes you in to Lush. Then just click on your avatar.

It's better to be at the bottom of a ladder going somewhere you want, than half way up a ladder going somewhere you don't.

Hello everyone. I’m thinking about uploading an audio story. I was just wondering if the new site supports it. If yes, how do I do it? Thank you

Currently, we don't have a facility for you to upload an audio story at the moment. However, you can email support and they shall attach the audio story manually.

In the future, we will be supporting the ability for you to upload the audio story directly.
Thank you. I do have one for may latest story but I imagine they are quite busy at the moment. I will send it on when they are less busy. Regards, Verity

Further to this can somebody tell me please what I am doing wrong, if anything? I have started another story and added tags on the 'new' story in the same way as I would have done on the 'previous' site with commas after each word. I have typed the first bit of the story and then saved to draft but the tags have now (again) disappeared. On my as yet unpublished story submitted yesterday, I put a note to Moderator explaining about the lack of tags and indicating the tags I wanted. Looks like I will be doing the same again when this latest story is completed and submitted. I just want to know please how to enter tags on the orioginal story so that they are still there when it is saved to draft. Thank you.

If there is already some instruction about this somewhere, I must have missed it, sorry.

I was told that you need to press "Enter" after each word. Unlike the old way of commas. Hope that helps.

Can I have a cup of tea please James. I'm just writing a winning story. It's abut a time travelling space vampire werewolf with tentacles who has sex with his mum and sister. What do you think?

No, nobody knows. I only started writing this year. So far I've written over 100 stories. I've even written a dozen of so for other writers. This is my guilty secret. I think my husband would go ballistic if he found out. I only ever meant to write one story, then found I couldn't stop.

It's not important how many he's had before. Just make sure you're the last. That's what's important.

Have we changed the way we add them?

Try using Enter after each for now and see if that works.

Thank you Mr Wordy. I'll give it a bash. Regards, Verity
