Do you all realize this started in the world when the rules of the playground games were changed, and everyone got a blue ribbon... some even when they were not there!
Back then there were Varsity and JV Teams, as well as "Intramural Sports".... for those who couldn't make the teams!!
I follow a big bunch of auteurs here! I receive and follow up with about 3-5 writings a day.... read about half, first word to end... Some are of no interest at all... hardly read any of those! Start some and never finish!
Either way.... I give feedback to maybe 1 out of 100 by commenting or scoring there at the posting! A small few others... I catch around site and comment! Those are ones that strike me as "Really Good"!!
The rest may be JV and many strike me as "Intramural Writings"! There I said it!!
I read for my interest and what ever.....
I openly invite anyone to send me a "pre-copy" to ask my idea on it but you'll get my views! As many may see here... my spelling sucks.... I skip words when I type... I'm dyslexic and my sentence structure....does not exist! (and I like "......", despite what others say about it!
My thoughts on what I read are just that.... they do not matter in the greater picture of you being a writer! I don't buy your stories.
I would like to take this time to graciously say thank you all, for posting stories.... or not.... as it keeps me entertained and off the curve....
Please keep posting so I don't have to go back to Penthouse Letters, or what ever is out there, these days!

Try not to forget the emotional part of this picture!! A person who looses a function or part of their body can feel that as an extreme failure to being a whole person. For partners, the loss is often difficult to understand, let alone manage! Grieving is in order for both... rejecting each other tends to destroy as does blaming.
It's time to start over... much the same as if you were starting a whole new relationship. And in so doing you are meeting a different person!
Think of it this way... what would you hope a partner would do if your dinghy sank, never to rise again...
Yes... I know we have some oral experts here.... but think for a minute.
Grieving needs comfort... consideration and time. You would be starting over either way. And as it was noted.. you ain't the same person you sold her to start with!!
Start a courtship to find the person that is left sitting next to you, with all her prior looses and trials....you already know her better then a stranger!

Since I recently purchased a tablet to use instead of old PC, I have been having to deal with a few extra steps that are frustrating to say the least! As always, I Google "Lushstories" or "lush stories" (gets same mess, either way). On PC and on tablet, this got the same link! With PC, it brought me to main page.... no problems!! However, on tablet, I get an alternate site, with address (m.lush stories.com) which comes with a link at bottom of page. When I push that, I get the same (m.lush stories.com) site as well as a pop-up page to I site of an advertiser, which personally, I don't want anything to do with! The link at the bottom of the (m.lush stories.com) will the most likely get me back to the LS main page! Any suggestions on how to get straight to front page?

Yes.... Thinking Sprite has it right! Why score? Why no have a pass / fail? I use to score and comment on stories and then simple stopped when "others" started telling my that "my score" was so WRONG!!!! Really? Who's score is it? Are there "rules" as to what these numbers stand for?
As I see it.... if a story is posted, it has already been:
1) Approved topic wise, for what is accepted within Lush standards.
2) Rewritten, if needed, to correct the most obvious in poor writing skills
3) Most likely received some type peer review, with persons of shared interest or style
Given all that.... Why not give a "1" or a "2" if I really don't "get it".... if it does not flow well or if say, its too trampy? Why not be truthful.... Some story lines start out with great intentions and then fall apart in the effort to "get done", describe sex or even simply, runs too long.... too many chapters... loss of energy.
Why is a reader "owed no less then a three"?
To be truthful... "false positives" are more dangerous to a writer's progress then if a true score is given! Some keep writing "crap" when they otherwise have some outrageously great story-lines!
To me, I'd be more worried about my story being "viewed" 10,000 times, but only received 20 comments and a few hundred "half-hearted" 3+! That likely means.... the readers didn't get it and felt too sad to "SCORE"
(If you really want feedback, I'll try reading your stuff and send you a personal review via mail! That, is how I resort to giving feedback.... Good, Bad, or Ugly....LOL)
