So... it's begun - set in the same universe as Netflix's Daredevil, Jessica Jones is a super powered woman who "quit" her job. She's got super powers - strength and the ability to jump really high - and she's now working as a Private Detective. She's a bit of a drunk and she suffers from PTSD over something tramautic that happened and caused her to quit being a super hero. that's really all i'll reveal.

just watched one episode so far (attention Dancing Doll) because it's incredibly dark and disturbing and uncomfortable- honestly, we had plans to watch a couple, but that was all i could handle - that's not to say it's crap - on the contrary, it's brilliant, but god, one was all i could handle - did i mention it's disturbing? Luke Cage is hot - he's the owner of a bar in Jessica's neighborhood whom she has a thing for - not saying more. just watch it - it's brilliant - David Tennant is the villian for the arc and he's really scary creepy - it's really a total mind twist/fuck as the story's foundations are laid out.

def a must watch - 5 of 5 stars.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Thanks for posting this. I tried to watch it yesterday. Now, not so sure. I don't like disturbing and uncomfortable. So, maybe one episode per week will be the best way. After all you gave 5 stars. smile
Hubby and I have just binge watched the entire series over the past 2 days. Dark, disturbing, brilliant. I've not watched daredevil yet, but that's next on my to do list!

Absolutely loved this series xx
I'll bite. Normally don't chime in on these type of threads...but...what the fuck did I just watch!? IMHO...

Extremely disappointed in the entire production. I gave it a chance, watched 4 and a half episodes. Had to stop. I found the story dragged on to the point it was painful to watch. I grew up on Marvel and DC comics, and was excited when JJ was announced. I wanted to like it. I didn't like any of the characters, none had any chemistry between them. The entire cast wasn't believable. The promise of 'dark and disturbing' was nothing more than pouts and frowns, look at poor little me, I'm depressed and anti social, drink too much, I have super powers but never got past teenage angst, over and over and over. I'd rather watch paint dry than watch another episode. The dialogue was childish at times and any attempt at humor failed miserably.

I guess Netflix is going after 14 year old emos with this. Look up who wrote the series. To quote the great Stan Lee, 'Nuff said.'

JJ and Luke Cage, AKA - Power Man - Hero For Hire - Ace Of Spades, were horrible on screen together. The syrupy dialogue between them seemed forced, and each looked like they wanted to be somewhere else when they were on screen together.

This was a missed opportunity to create something special. Instead, we got watered downed crap, on an endless loop. I am cheering for The Purple Man/Kilgrave. He controls sexy, young ladies and gets them to do whatever he desires. smile A Dom, after my own heart. The only bright spot was the Chinese restaurant scene, Kilgrave orders an Italian dish...and gets it!

I am incredibly disappointed, as so many others are. Going to watch Ash Vs. The Evil Dead, to make up for this disappointment.

I'm sending Gil, my alter ego, to New York City, in my next story. JJ better stay the fuck out of his way.

Daredevil was fantastic. I binged through the entire season in one day and it totally makes up for that atrocious movie adaptation. Season 2 will be interesting. They're bringing in the Punisher, played by the actor who was Shane on The Walking Dead.
I am watching and I like it cause it's "dark, disturbing and uncomfortable" smile
The first time I watched the preview..I was like "WTF is this shit'? I'm not really a fan of her..But, last week someone told me try to watch at least one episode... And yes, I did... Thank goodness to a friend and I listened to HIM..LOL.. I am a huge fan of Darevil.. The fact that the setting is in the Hells Kitchen (same as Darevil).. JJ to me it's more like Neo-Noir, Psychological fucked up, action pack and Bad Assary alert! Yes, She is Freaking GREAT! Oh, yeah my favorite Dr. Who is the Supervillain..I'm on my 11th episode and I can't wait to see the Crossover between Daredevil and Jessica Jones.. That will be the best episode ever...
