Been watching WentWorth, Aussie womens prison thing, I guess comparable to Orange is the new Black type series.. Couple seasons into it, Not bad IMO,
kinda sucks you in where you want to see what happens.

It's a really good series, I enjoyed watching it when it was on TV.
I'm late to the party, but I started watching Schitt's Creek on Netflix. I enjoy it. It's easy to watch, and it's quite clever.

And then obvs, Tiger King.

Way too Canadian for you....

Penny Dreadful was one of the most underappreciated shows of the 2010s. I've seen the first two episodes of the new series and it seems quite good. It lacks the ambiance of the original series but it captures the feeling of 1930s Los Angeles quite well. I'm hoping that it builds into the Zoot suit riots.

I thought you guys lived like the Trailer Park Boys?
The Last Kingdom on Netflix- Season 4 just came out - if you like Vikings you’ll enjoy this too
Started watching Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist on Hulu. really worth checking out. smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I’d love some too!
With Vikings set to end this year after the 6th season, they just announced that there will be spin off series titled Vikings:Valhalla.

The new series will jump about 100 years and focus on figures with more concrete historical facts. It will cover people like Leif Erickson, Harold Hardrada, and William the Conqueror. I'm guessing that it will show the events of 1066 from the Viking and Norman perspectives.

I, for one, would love to see the Battle of Stamford Bridge depicted on screen.

i loved this series, and yeah, totally on board for the spin off - curious to see, after the events of the mid season finale, how they wrap it up, though...

Netflix 's Dead To Me is providing some distraction now
If you haven't seen the new Harley Quinn cartoon, you should give it a try. I'm not wildly into superheros, but this gem is hilarious. The voices are probably people you'll recognize and it's irreverent as fuck.

We've been seriously binge-ing Justified lately (yeah, I know I'm very late to the party). Great dialogue, great performances.

I've also been showing my youngest daughter some of my fave movies, since it's her last year before adulthood. Watched Slumdog Millionaire this week and had forgotten what a gem it is.

One of the most underrated shows of the last decade. I've watched them all twice.

I only wish that it was filmed in Kentucky and not in a small town on the outskirts of LA county though. Still works.

Pretty good theme song too.

if im not mistaken,Schitt's Creek is on its last season,at least it is here in Canada, not sure how far behind Netflix is on it
So this totally paints me as a sheeplike follower of popular culture, but I am genuinely pyched that HBO Max has launched. Friends! And all of Ghibli Studio! The Anna Kendrick vehicle looks pretty lightweight, but I would watch her in nearly anything. Even that crappy Christmas movie she put out last year.
I've Latched onto Outlander.

Probably the best series I've ever seen (outside of Game of Thrones) and got me going on reading all of Elmore Leonard's books that I can find at used book stores. Not sure how I missed him all those years!

It's one of the few series, along with Vikings and GOT, that I bought on DVD. I live out in the boonies so crappy satellite internet is the only option. Streaming movies, etc, is not doable, so no Netflix, Hulu, etc for us.
I watched "White Lines."

This trailer actually makes the show look quite a bit more exciting than it actually is.

Space Force came out on Friday.

It did not do well with the critics, but I think the negative reviews are misplaced.

There are not a lot of gut busting laughs, but as a satire that makes fun of our current political climate, it hits the mark. A lot of the jokes will go over the head of most people... It's more subtle.

I feel like it could have been a bit more edgy. They played it too safe by trying to be politically neutral.
I know this thread is usually for suggestions which btw I love but I couldn’t help but say something about ~ 365 DNI (365 Days) Netflix don’t even bother that was 2 hours of my life I can’t get back lol

I remember when the story it was based on was in the New Yorker. I was so excited the New Yorker published Elmore Leonard. They published a Stephen King story in that era too. Don't know if they are still publishing popular writers - I let my subscription lapse a long time ago.

New TV addiction is Love Life on HBO Max, with the incandescent Anna Kendrick. LJ and I are on new episodes of that like Godzilla on Tokyo.

It was pretty amazing that they took what was really a very short story and a few random appearances by Raylan Givens in others and turned it and the characters into a 5-year (6-year?) series. They did a good job of making it Leonard-esque too, keeping the characters, situations and especially the dialogue witty and gritty, the way he writes them. I think he worked on the series as a consultant (?) for a couple of years before he died, so I'm sure that helped to keep it true to form. The other writers must have read a lot of his books.

Started season two. Like it.

Also watching Jack Ryan on Prime. Bubble gum stuff but really entertaining.

Introducing the kids to Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother. Lots of retro laughs from the giggling kids.

But avoiding Friends just because Verbs likes it.
I just finished Don't Fuck With Cats on Netflix.
Kissing your lips while straddling your lap.
I'm looking forward to the final season Vikings coming out later this year.

I love this fan made promo. Viking rap may be the next big thing.....
