Well, Dominic Cooper looks the part as Jesse. But yes, Cassidy without sunglasses just seems bizarre. I really hope this lives up to the comics, as Preacher has always been one of my favourites.

I really hope this turns out to be good because preacher is my all time favorite comic but I don't know... Are they really going to throw in the saint of killers, herr star (I hope that wasn't him trying to stab tulip) Jesus deSade, the Jesus descendants and the original storyline? I hope it doesn't just turn into the preacher character in small stupid local storylines each episode. It looks like Garth Ennis is involved so that is good but fuck, it's been a long time since the preacher books were written. I know it will have to be toned down because it's seriously the most cynical and outrageous story ever written but I really hope this is good. Wish this could have been on HBO like it was supposed to be years ago.

I wonder if the story will still be set in the 90s. Arseface's "transformation" wouldn't make as much sense in present day.

I read that the theme song is going to be "son of a preacher man". So stupid. Just because the word preacher is in it.

It should have be "the man comes around" by Johnny cash. It's totally perfect.

The lack of Cassidy’s sunglasses was enough to make me nervous. Having said that, I’m going to reserve further judgement until I’ve seen more than a ninety second trailer for a show that won’t air for at least another six months.

Seeing that Deblanc and Hugo Root are going to be in the first episode too. Makes it seem like the events might actually go down in a similar way to the comic but with just a bit more backstory in the actual town before genesis. Makes me a little more hopeful.

There is a clear shot of Arse Face at the 10 second mark (and the video preview). They did a good job with the makeup, really does look like an asshole.

This new trailer still doesn't make me feel like this won't annoy the shit out of me. It still looks like the characters are very different from the books; books that were entirely character driven.

I wish they would have got someone like Robert Carlyle to play Cassidy. And you know, a blonde hillbilly for Tulip.

I didn't think they had the balls to include Odin Quincannon but apparently he is going to be in the first season. Which is not a bad idea since his story is kinda separate from the overall plot. Makes sense to turn it into something Jesse does early on. Jackie Earle Haley is perfect casting too.
