Great Walking Dead episode last night. I think that was the most exciting hour I've seen in a long while - somehow even surpassing Terminus and endless gory walker episodes. There's something extra anxiety-producing about living humans who have given themselves over to ultraviolence in such a Manson'esque way. It's somehow scarier than Zombies.

And Carol is 'the man'! I love how she single-handedly diffuses these epic disasters - first dispensing of the Cannibal nest and now knocking off the Wolves like a stealth ninja. And all in the time it takes to bake a casserole. Love her.

And lastly... Enid. Possibly a wolf in sheep's clothing? Poor Carl.
Tonight's episode made me do the 'ugly cry'. I can't even believe they did what they did.

Ugh! I've not seen the episode yet, it airs here tonight...

I shall avoid this thread until I have (I have been told it's a MUST watch though)

Sorry. too busy watching the new Supergirl to care *ducks*

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Time to combine the best of both worlds. Supergirl would be so much more kick-ass as a zombie. Uh huh. Yup, I said it. *ducks faster than you*

I don't think what happened really happened. I have a theory and am hoping it is true. I'll have to wait and see what happens. Maybe just wishful thinking, but he was under the other guy, so maybe that's not him being ripped to pieces. I just don't want it to be true. I'm way too emotionally involved with this show.
Glen can't be dead...I am in total denial, but then...it did not look like he could possibly make it out of that. Damn Nicholas! He should have shot that bastard!! He got Noah killed anyway!

On another note...Jon Snow lives...The Red Witch will save him and he won't be a Knight of the Watch anymore

That's the same theory I'm going with, at least it's my hope. Maybe Sasha, Abraham and Daryl will come around and rescue him somehow...(I'm just grabbing at straws here....)

NINJA CAROL EARNS RANK OF THOSE THAT MUST NOT DIE! Ok, all the main characters are now on that list. Although my sister actually said they need to kill Judith. Yes, she's a horrible person! LOL... my heart is broken for Maggie...

Yeah, I read those 'maybe he's still alive' theories, but it would really go against the grain of the show to fuck with the audience like that with one of those pranked 'we fooled you' bits.

I mean - all things pointed to his demise:

- His last words to Rick were ominous and exactly echoed his first words to Rick on season one in the tank.
- Fingering Hershel's watch (that's when I knew something awful was going to happen - never - never reflect on loved ones or peek at cherished momentos when in a bad situation on this show).
- The way he fell probably meant that Nicholas gets eaten first, but the likelihood that Glenn didn't even get a scrape or bite on his extremities while being in the walker mosh pit, with that many on top of him is unrealistic, even for the show.
- When he fell, they played the tragic 'death scene' violins. Bad sign.
- Even if he scoots under the dumpster, he has nowhere else to go and that many walkers aren't going to be satisfied with Nicholas lasagna for long. Plus we know walkers look and reach under cars (eg. the Sophia runaway scene).

I think they had Nicholas fall on top of Glenn because this will allow Glenn to end up as a semi-recognizable walker, rather than an entrails skid mark. This will allow Maggie (and a few others) to go looking for him and then find him in a seriously traumatizing, major violin wailing finale scene - maybe to close off the season. Then they'll have Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan on Talking Dead to wrap up the character storyline.

The only thing that really points to Glenn being alive is a pic of Steven Yeun on set standing next to a new character that hasn't shown up yet. This is - admittedly - a decent clue, but it could be a red herring. Or even from a scene where Maggie looks at the new group and imagines Glenn standing with them for a moment.

I really want him to be alive, but if it does go that way and he manages to escape without a scrape, I'm going to be kind of pissed at the show for doing one of those silly "is he, or isn't he" tricks.

Then again if it means Glenn could be alive, I'm willing to get over it. lol
Btw... is anyone worried about Rick?

That last scene was awful for him and he looked so defeated. Also - it appears he got cut and walker blood is in his wounds. Apparently this means something in the comics but I haven't read them.
After thinking about, I too would be upset if they pulled some sort of trick where Glenn would be okay. It wouldn't ring true to the show or the graphic novels. I'm sure he will show up, but probably in flashbacks or some other sort of non-linear way. This season seems to be the one to do that in. It looks like next week we will see Morgan's story and how he went from crazy to where he is now.

I'm not so worried about Rick's physical demise but his mental state, not sure how that is going to play out.

The show is nothing if not uncertain and surprising, which is why I am still watching. Even if it does make me wreck at the end of some of the episodes. It's cathartic in a way for me, I can worry about something else for a change instead of my own life.

Thank goodness Carol is "back". That whole stepford thing she was doing was creeping me out.

I've read the books but they don't always follow what happens in them. They do at times but you can't count on it.

No, I agree. I really think they've killed off our favorite pizza delivery guy. Especially after the major clues of him leaving Hershals watch, and calling Rick a 'dumb ass'. I knew then that he was doomed. Very heartbreaking. I do think, though, that Rick will be okay.

I love the show, but I'd quit watching if they resorted to tricks. They have a tendency to break your heart from time to time, wheter killing major characters or having a strategy totally fall apart. It is brave writing, and keeps you guessing.

It shouldn't matter if he got Walker blood in his wound, since everyone living is already carrying. They get blood splatter on their faces daily, when killing the un-dead anyway.

It seems that in the comics (which I've not read) Rick loses a hand. I guess they passed that onto Merle in season one. I guess they could be coming back round to now have Rick possibly lose his hand to tie it in with the comics. I'm not sure. If he lives at all, given how the show ended last week.

As for Glenn, I really don't see how he can live. Regardless of who fell on who, there was no place to escape. However, I'm sure they'll think of something realistic, IF he does live. I'm not so sure he does. Which sucks, I rather like Glenn. He's a bad ass and is one of the most logical thinkers on the show.
great season every show been exciteing.. lots of action. does morgan tell others about that guy..
Anyone else think That last episode with Morgan and Eastman was just brilliant? 90 mins gone in a flash. loved it so much I didn't mind not knowing Glenn and Rick's fate for another week.

Okay, put me out of my misery... which episode were the couple in? The bloke with the damaged leg and the girl, shown briefly in this episode? I know they didn't last long, but when were they in it?

Ohhhh, was that them? I thought they looked familiar. That was the episode where Rick and Carol left the prison to get supplies, during which Rick confronted her about killing Karen and David and basically told her she had to leave the group - gave her a car and supplies and sent her on her way. During the episode they came across the guy and girl handing out peaches or some kind of fruit, trying to ingratiate themselves to others. The girl died in that episode, but the guy survived (and had Rick's watch) and then later ended up at the pig trough at Terminus (shudders... that scene...).
I loved the last episode with Morgan and Eastman - great storytelling - although I found myself overly stressing about the welfare of Tabitha the goat.

Morgan's character has a lot of complexity. He's reminding me of Tyrese now with the moral compass of "we shouldn't kill", except Tyrese was a little more practical about it.

The idea that Morgan is hiding one of those Wolves at Alexandria and the guy is already bit and doomed anyway is ridiculous and puts everyone at risk. Morgan was a special case that worked, but in general the zombie apocalypse is no time to mess around with 'psychological rehabilitation' (see how that worked out for Lizzie, right?). Plus if the guy was bitten, who cares about pulling an Eastman and reforming his murderous ways. And.. just wait until Carol finds out! lol

I guess we find out what happened to Glenn this week. It looks like Maggie and Aaron will go looking for him. Ugh. Going to keep the kleenex box on hand, in case we end up seeing a tragic version of Walker Glenn.

Thank you x
That's right, I thought it was back during the prison series. I'd completely forgotten he ended up in the pig trough, had it in my head he died earlier than that. Yep - that was one harrowing episode.
Hate to say it, but Glenn's gone. There was no way he was getting out of that. He might put in an appearance as a walker...not sure how I feel about that. As for Rick...I'm not 100% convinced he's going to make it either...

Roll on Monday. Yes, i have to wait and extra day. No, I will not cheat and check this thread
Just watched the back story Morgan episode. What an amazing one! Heart warming and sad at the same time. I liked Eastman. True humanity in the face of chaos. And yet again they kill a "goodie" off. I'm a wreck..... again!

This season is the best yet! Cant wait for the next one...

Oh hell yeah!!
Still waiting... *sigh*

Although, technically there was a small development (literally).

Never seen it, & not planning to change that (especially after next one called "Fear" them).

That said, seen Kirkman on "@ midnight" & Seth Meyers, & seems like decent guy (especially after Seth showed & discussed his Pope comic).

Awe! No, I can NOT accept that Glen is dead....but knowing Kirkman and Nicotero...probably. BEST.SHOW.EVER! I just wish they'd stop killing off my favorite characters, I'm beginning to need therapy, lol! (not funny....)
