I really enjoyed the last episode... I like Dianna so far (what have I seen her in? Was she in sex and the city, playing carrie's editor at vogue?)
Be interesting to see where this goes...
We all know this new place of tranquility can't last. Alexandria seems like it is going to be another Governor thing. Rick is getting sucked in by the Congress Woman and her power trip. If everything is so peachy keen there, why were they out looking for more more people? That just adds more mouths to feed. Also, I can't believe they let ugene live.
I'll be the first one to admit that I think season five has been rather slow. I only started watching week to week this season, I power watched the first four seasons on Netflix.
Now that we're in season five, nearly done it, actually, four episodes to go. I am kind of sad. I truly think this new place is going to be a lot like The Governor and Woodberry.
At the end of the last episode (2-22-15) Rick says to Michonne how quiet it was both at Woodberry and Terminus when they first arrived, that is how he knew something wasn't right. When they finally arrive and are still in the cars, Rick hears children laughing and playing, yet, at the start of this episode, when the gates are opened, there is NO ONE around, not a single soul. Hello! White flag! What are you thinking?!
Also, when Glenn, and the other two go with the guys to do a “run” and they see they've strung up walkers, that is also something that was done at Woodberry, Andrea saw this as she was arriving into their town and spoke to the Governor about it.
Dianna also comes off much like The Governor, in a lot of ways. She is very sure of herself. But, I can understand in ways why she would. If they've had this town up and running for two years. They don't know any other way.
I just don't want to see a repeat of something that has already happened in the show. The series hasn't been on long enough to have so many repeats.
I did like this episode, don't get me wrong. I liked how Daryl was so against it, standing his ground, doing as he would if he were still on the run. Everyone else seems to be settling in way too easily, even Rick and Michonne. I'm just looking forward to seeing what happens next.
It is going to be a challenge for them to maintain the tension in the Alexandria Safe Zone without rehashing Woodberry. There's only so far they can take the gang's suspicion.
I do love Badass Carol's approach to the interview though. It's probably what I'd do in that situation.
I can't wait to find out who nicked the gun out of the blender. What's that all about?
While far too late in the season for my liking, I think they're off to a good start. The hairdresser's husband, the weird PTSD girl, and the Congresswoman's son...there's no shortage of fuckwitts.
I'm gagging for next week...
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill. Never heard of this show so I looked it up. Kids concept stuff. Probably never explains the reason for the flesh eating zombies just a nice excuse to show grotty gunge and vomit making scenes. Sad to think this is entertainment - though it makes sense smacks of a computer game to me like that other piece of dross Game of Thrones. I mean people seriously debate childish characters like Batman nowadays instead of laughing at it. Not a case of the lunatics taken over the asylum but rather the kids have taken over the studios.
We were talking about the W, what it could possibly mean, and we believe it's Morgan carving his initials into their heads. Upside down M. Rick's lust toward Jessie has clouded his judgment, although her husband deserved what he got.
I have to keep averting my eye to avoid spoilers because I'm only in season 3. And I really love the show, but one thing keeps bugging me. How come they never stop for gas?
I'm sure there would be gas around, from cars and abandoned gas stations, so it is a logical flaw they could at least address. But they don't. They drive SUVs and RVs for Christ's sake!
