Oddly, given that I am not officially Christian, the Bible. I'm in a Bible study thread on another board, a chapter by chapter discussion of the Gospel of Mark. After that, we might skip to John since we did a Luke reading not long ago.

So what brought to a bible study if you're not officially Christian?

Well, the short answer is that I am the admin for a religion and spirituality discussion board and the bible study is a thread on that board.

The longer answer is that I grew up in a Christian family (quite liberal by the standards of the time, but definitely Christian) and did not so much leave that faith as drift slowly away. Since there was no clean break, an interest in the faith and its foundations (i.e. the Bible) has remained. Right now, I am a bit adrift spiritually and have developed an interest in re-engaging with my roots. Not sure I'll actually become "officially" Christian again, but it's more likely now than even a year or two ago.

No tentacles yet, but I'm hopeful. smile Very much a Lovecraft "Color Out of Space" vibe going on. Really good book so far (fair warning, I'm biased, I know the writer).
