The Bale Batman was very much a creature of the Nolan Bat-verse. Recasting the role for the Superman and inevitable Justice League movies may not be a bad thing. I'll wait and see what comes out. The bigger problem is how they play the power gap between Batman and Superman (who could, truth be told, squash Bruce like a bug given half a chance). Usually, when these two fail to get along, it ends up as Bruce Wayne's resources and cleverness vs. Clark Kent's muscle but that can get a little too simplistic at times. Wonder Woman is actually closer to Superman in terms of power scale so in some ways, I wish they'd left Bats out of it and used the next Superman to intro her, rather than having her play third wheel to Supes and Bats.
Stephen Amell (of Arrow) 'd be the right choice, though the storyline is the same ... but let's see how ben affleck delivers :P Who knows, he may also do justice for this legend batman, relived by christian bale!
personally it doesn't matter, DC have turned all their best characters into dark, morose heroes who when stood up against the Marvel Movie heroes, pale in comparison. The Batman films, yes they were good but So damn dark and as for the Man of Steel? so dull and dark. This is simply a machine for them to try to claw some money back from under the Avenger's shadow. Iron Man, Captain America and Thor had all proven that they can do action adventure with humour as well. Not looking forward to this film in any way shape or form, but I do appreciate decent debate.
