Be interested in hearing about your experience with Smashwords since I am interested in eventually doing some self-publishing myself and did look at them at one point. How easy or hard? Any problems or pitfalls? What other sites, if any did you consider? Why Smashwords? All those sorts of questions.

As long as I do not post any links, I think it is not a self-promotion. I need a feedback to boost my sales of my book. And can provide a free book for people who are into deep enough emotional stories with a survival theme, an dark atmosphere. If someone wants a good (I believe) 30k words for free, they can just PM me and we will not violate anything.

Regarding your question. Smashwords is good, because it allows to monetize . F.e. Amazon does not. It is pretty hard to meet Smashwords guidance especially if your story includes or non-consent scenes, because they strictly prohibit it. Sometimes non-con can be cool element of the story (of course in a boundaries when it is not some crazy stuff), so if it is a case it will be a main pitfall.
