Hi everyone!

  • If this breaks any rules, please let me know—I don’t want to violate it!

I just published my first book on Smashwords and could really use some reviews (*I do not post any links here so as not to violate any rules). It’s a sci-fi erotica about a mother-warrior and her son, facing an alien monster on an abandoned spaceship. Expect mind games, dubious consent, deep emotions, and lots of .

If that’s your thing and you’d like to help, I’ve got free coupons for the book! Just PM me, and I’d be so grateful if you could leave a review on Smashwords after reading.

Thanks!

Probably more appropriate in this forum. 😁 But if it should be moved, the mods will surely do so.

Be interested in hearing about your experience with Smashwords since I am interested in eventually doing some self-publishing myself and did look at them at one point. How easy or hard? Any problems or pitfalls? What other sites, if any did you consider? Why Smashwords? All those sorts of questions.

As long as I do not post any links, I think it is not a self-promotion. I need a feedback to boost my sales of my book. And can provide a free book for people who are into deep enough emotional stories with a survival theme, an dark atmosphere. If someone wants a good (I believe) 30k words for free, they can just PM me and we will not violate anything.

Regarding your question. Smashwords is good, because it allows to monetize . F.e. Amazon does not. It is pretty hard to meet Smashwords guidance especially if your story includes or non-consent scenes, because they strictly prohibit it. Sometimes non-con can be cool element of the story (of course in a boundaries when it is not some crazy stuff), so if it is a case it will be a main pitfall.
