Question: I wrote a story from first person point of view and had is posted here. Got some very good feedback about putting it into different point of view to get higher votes. Question is: would people want to read a story that is reposted in 3rd person rather than my view? Personally, it has probably been my favorite story that I have on here, but hasn't been reviewed as well as I would have hoped.

As for you as a writer I think that all possible rewrites of your own stories are good. But rewriting perspective is some work. It's not a matter of replacing "me" with "her"or "us" with "them." To decide on what perspective, as I see it is to decide upon from the beginning. I have a suggestion though.
Why not write the same story, from the other main person's view. (or if you have many other persons in it, from one of theirs.)
Might make for a good follow up read, for your fans.
continuation for the first story is much better that to re post the story, once you have a bit exciting ending the reader will have the idea that you will give another story relating on the 1st one rather than using the third person
