Why is anonymous scoring permitted . I believe the score should shown against the comment if scoring is to mean anything.

I have to agree. As a growing author, i look at the comments to improve my writing. A mark and no comment provides no feedback. If someone doesn't like my story i would appreciate knowing why.

On all sites, including this one, the number of votes always far outnumbers the comments. I'm just looking at random at another site I'm on. There is one story with a pretty decent score that has forty-eight votes but only two comments. The one below has fifty-four votes but no comments at all. That is just the nature of online publishing.
