Getting side-tracked...

I love writing romantic stories but have been getting increasingly side-tracked when writing the more intimate parts of the story. This usually ends up with the story being way sexier than I intended in the first place. Does anyone else have this problem?

My new story has been awarded the Recommended Read. If you adore a needy bottom and fancy a short, but very naughty read...
I have had it happen but I've also had stories where I started off with the sexy stuff and then found the back story taking over and ending up with it being more of a romance with sex. There's one story in particular that predates joining Lush and has never actually been finished that started as a "First Time" erotic story (albeit a fairly romantic one),but would likely come out as a pure romance with a bit of eroticism if i was to write it now. As I worked through the story in my head, I found myself more interested in the characters and their relationship than the sex between them.

Thanks for that. I think starting with the sexy stuff has been my mistake. I just get carried away with that once I start it
I think I'll try the back story first at a time when I'm thinking of anything but "that" lol

It might just be me, but I tend to write the sexy parts first and then flesh out the story. It seems to work best for me to know where they will end up and then add how they got there. I am a bit backwards in life most of the time so it my just work for me, but I hope this helps.
...I thought that maybe a new life, a different life, wouldn’t be so bad. But where the hell did I put the receipt, and could you return something that was over twenty years old? Where do you go to get a new life when your old one has you so puzzled you don’t know how to fix it? Wish I knew.

Just eat a whole raw potato, that should sort you out...

Why not read some stories instead

That cannot be true. Why the hell would they get married? How are they going to have kids? It makes no sense to me!

I don't think it's actually real - I just saw it and it made me laugh.

Sad thing is... it mentions Topeka, Kansas - home of Westboro Baptist Church.

Anything's possible out there in that part of the world.

The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

You can easily solve this 'problem' simply by setting out to write incredibly sexy stories. That way you'll meet your own expectations and your readers on Lush will love you !!
Who cares, - if it makes for a better story go for it. I know I have surprised myself at times when I have written an experience into a story and I spiced it up a bit myself.I wish that it had been that good at the time.
Keep it up.
All the time.
