I love this time of year, with the dark nights and rich atmosphere. I was brought up to shun anything to do with witchcraft and the occult. However, I am deeply spiritual (although I don't like to talk about it, and I try to ignore it), and I am a great fan of myths, legends, and supernatural stories.

I have found myself more drawn to writing darker, chillier pieces lately (although they may not see the light of day). I wrote a couple of poems last year at this time, and I wondered if this time of year provokes your creative streak.

I would love to know if Halloween and the darker aspects of this time of year inspire you. I know there are many sceptics on Lush, as I am myself, in part. I'm not interested in whether ghosts/the supernatural is or isn't real. I want to know if and how it might inspire you to write.
