I'm feeling a little trapped by my screen/author name and am thinking of changing it to something less genre-specific. Any thoughts?
I like your name but, yeah, it kind slots you genre-wise. Not too badly, though. It can also be read as just a favourite kink or that you are kinky. Not necessarily restricted to spanking.
I changed my screen name once but just to get back to my old one after my ill-considered deletion of my original account. They do charge you here, which I am not crazy about but whatever.

My first writing name was "Major Havoc". But I decided after two stories that it was too juvenile a name, so I switched to Rajah Dodger and I've used that ever since. I think when I started writing I initially used whatever my CB radio handle was at the time, but I was concerned about overlap with that usage effectively outing me as a smut writer. So that's why I started officially with Major Havoc then switched to Rajah Dodger.

I can see why you're thinking this, and I did have another (now forgotten) screen name before I started writing. I chose something non-specific and actually meaningless. If/when I publish a book, I might change it again.
If you change it, 2bespanked, I would suggest (at least for a while) putting formally 2bespanked under your new author name. Where I have "having fun," as you do have a presence here at LushStories. 😊

No. I've been known as Piquet (PK) here for 16 years now with the same avatar - 'The Trumpets of Jericho' by HR Giger. I'm not about to change.

I've been thinking of changing my username as well. Originally, I joined Lush using another handle, one that I use on a couple of other sites. My current identity is very similar to the original. I do not want someone from Site A to find me on Site B, or Site C. For that to happen, I need to lose "taco." I'm trying to think of something a bit more generic, yet also with a bit of who I am or what i do. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have a regular name I use on most sites, including our non-erotic sister writing site. Like you, I deliberately chose not to use it here as part of keeping my presence somewhat separate from my regular online identity. So, yeah, good plan in principle.
